Ok so we are on vacation and we love pizza so we give it a go. The place in South Portland is relly cool and they open the service doors on summer evenings . The staff was friendly and attentive . The crust is thin and delicious, with cornmeal on the bottom which we love .The beer selection was marginal, with only 2 of the four on tap available, but hey it's beer so I'm not picky. The pizzas on the menu are creative and delicious, but the toppings were sparse . The mashed potato/ bacon was good but the toppings were just so few, there was pretty much one dollop of potatoes per slice . The same for the pulled pork/ mango pizza- a great idea but one large chunk of pork per slice. So one bite per slice got the whole BBQ/mango/ cheese. Every other bite pretty much just cheese. And with a price tag of nearly $22 bucks, I felt like I payed $22 bucks for a thin crust cheese pizza . And I'm not from Maine but we're accustomed to grated Parmesan and garlic butter or some kind of sauce to go with the pizza or crusts. I guess overall the whole experience just left me wanting for more. Such a cool location, and I even wanted to know about the history of the place, but nothing to be found. Great potential, but not worth the $83 tab for 2 pizzas, a kids cheese pizza, a couple beers, and some craft sodas...
Read moreI placed an order for 3 pizzas at 7pm on a Monday night. Over an hour later, I received a call, they’re outside. I go and generously tip the driver because she’s always so good. I’m given 4 pizzas, told there was a mess up and we got a free one. I get inside, none of them are gluten free, and one of them is burnt to an absolute crisp, and the other one is not even anything we ordered. I try to call, no answer. I called multiple times, and they started to pick up the phone and hang up on me. I have celiac disease and can’t eat gluten. They closed a half hour later, as did everything else while I was waiting for them to show. Honestly never felt like disputing a purchase on my debit card before now. I order from this place every two weeks and I always spent almost 100 dollars. I will not only never be going back but I will also be telling everyone who will listen. Unreal. I am a single mother with Christmas coming up and yall just took 80 dollars from me and I didn’t even get to eat. And then to repeatedly hang up on me is. Absolutely chefs kiss....
Read moreGood find! It's an old car shop turned into a pizza joint. All fresh air. We had a 12" pepperoni and bacon pizza. It was very good. Sauce was Very tomatoee. Crust was thin and just the right amount of flavor. Highly recommend!
When we were there they had both garage doors open. It was a very hot day so be aware of this. For us it was a nice feature but did get A little warm when there wasn't a breeze.
Service was very good. We got waited on right away and the drinks came quickly, which was good because as I mentioned above, it was a very warm day. We had water and it was cold, big plus.
The food came pretty quickly as well. The tables are not all that big but they compensate some for that with a metal stand for the pizza. Works out well as it has a smaller footprint than the pizza pan does.
The only negative really, and not a big deal really, was the size of the water glasses. They were like bathroom cup size, well close. We had plenty of water though because they left a larger water vessel...
