If yall were a major brand truck stop alot more people could fuel. Most of us out here are limited to truck stops that company's allow us to fuel at. Most truck stops like yall that make drivers pay for parking when they are not allowed to fuel there offer free parking when those make purchases in the store and restaurants that equal up to $20 to $25 . I would like to visit yalls location for the first time tomorrow but unfortunately yall are not on our fuel network so I will have to stop 20 miles before I get to yall so I won't have to pay to park and spend money it their store. I frequented a truck stop in Tallapoosa ga for 20 years 2 times a week. Patronized them on every stop there even if I wasn't staying for the night. They started charging me to do brakes there and sad to say but they lost my business. Truck stops these days are not for truck drivers. They are for stop and go folks. That's goes for most truck stops. Prices have gone up way higher because they know we can't get large trucks into most places to shop. Truck stops use to cater to truck drivers. Not any more. Im sure yalls place would have been a good stop for me but guess I won't fined out due to the price to park...
Read moreLemme tell ya something, before the new owners took over, this was the place to go to! Now that the new owners took over, this place is quickly going downward as far as customer service goes. The renovations are nice but whatever happened to having the TV lounge open 24 hours or even from 7 am to 10 pm? Whatever happened to the typical good American guys that worked here? The new owners (I wanna say they are Indian cuz now most of the employees are of that race or similar) are more strict and have definitely limited things around there. The one guy that does stand out is this guy that usually has very long hair and he is an amazing employee, probably the best they have. Hopefully this place will eventually get new owners that are better with hospitality. As far as food goes, the food is good.
Update: get the old owners back. This place literally went 6 ft under thanks to the Indian owners. Those people have no idea how to run an ALL AMERICAN truck stop. Get the TV lounge and the mini arcade back and get rid of the Indian bar, they are going to make the place go to 0. The Indian. Management sure knows how to...
Read moreAll paid parking … is a requirement of the times for truck stops in the shadows of major population centers. These truck stops remain FULL or mostly full every day of the month [but especially Friday through Sunday] either with parked cars, dropped trailers, or trucks of LOCAL and Regional drivers who use such places for free parking. The property owner finally gets fed up with all the freeloading and moves to all paid parking to compensate for lost revenue. The locals who freeload park otherwise don’t pay a dime AND prevent out of town drivers who need a place to park for 4-6 hours from finding parking, even if they were willing to pay.
This is what happens when truck volume reaches the point it’s at now. I needed a place near MSP to wait 7 hours and would pay $20 or whatever, but not for a rundown place with foreign owners, crappy parking lot, a questionable restaurant. I’ll drive out of route to Columbus or Hudson or Inver Grove before I do that.
Glad I only have a few...
