Arrived at 9:30 on Friday morning hoping to have breakfast. All that was open was Peak Provisions. And all that was available were re-heatable options. A little desperate, I ordered a bagel & cream cheese. (Why am I asked for a tip amount before I am served?)
So I am 'served' a paper bag with the bagel, two small containers of cream cheese, and a plastic knife. I think you can see how dry the bagel was just by looking at the photo.
Yes, the place is bright, pleasant and has lots of seating. And I appreciate the sustainability mindset that Hangar generally tries to honor. I have had lunch here before (La Ventana.) It was OK, so I was giving Hangar another try.
I understand that it is hard to deal with the fickle clientele on Oyster Point. There are lots of nearby businesses where their employees work-from-home many days of the week - especially Fridays. It is a tough situation. So Hangar needs to find a way. Day-old bagels is not the way.
