Billys Crawfish — Restaurant in Southaven

To be in Mississippi/Tennessee this was an actually really good crawfish spot. The crawfish boil could of been hotter but it was really good just not soaked into the crawfish .They do not cook The sides in the boil and no onions etc in the boil. The sausage was different from Louisiana and so was there Boudin I wasn’t quite fond of the Boudin it was a little weird texture and tasting kinda weird and not like our Boudin back home. The sausage was different as well but surprisingly it was very good. When you cook the sides in the boil cabbage, onion, lemon, sausage, corn potatoes, even boiled eggs you just get that flavor of the boil, From a Louisiana women I would recommend this place. This is the best hidden gem near Memphis. The food is great and the ambient just your best "southern" hospitality. Make the short drive from the city and you will find a true "locals" crawfish excellently well prepared. I landed into this place when driving on route for days-vacation & exploring from CA to Atlanta GA and needed gas. Just stopped by for 4lbs cooked crawfish. SO VERY DISAPPOINTED! I have been several times thru out the years and it's been great. Today 5-29-2022 530pm ...they were so bad! They tasted Old and dirty, with a lot of them already dead before cooking (Straight tails). They also seemed like lower grade crawfish, with weeds included. So sad!!
