Crown Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Southbridge

I will be honest, I used to avoid this place a few years ago. Recently, I've been ordering from this place non-stop! I don't know what changed, but the chicken is juicier, the fries are crunchier, and the milkshakes are sweeter. I'm not one to order out unless the day's gotten me tired, but Crown Fried is an exception I'm willing to make!

Unfortunately, I'm moving to New York in a few days; so it'll be a long while until I'm able to have their food again. But just thinking about their sandwiches, their subs, and their chicken is enough to hold me over. Delivery is always quick and the prices aren't too expensive! Every delivery driver I've had, and every in-person staff member I've met has been kind and nothing but respectful!

I moved from town about 6 years back and this was the best spot to go. Well, sadly, things seem to have changed. I've ordered twice in the last 2 weeks since I've been visiting, and both times the food was sub par. The chicken was so dry I threw the chicken bowl away. Gravy was burned, and corn was soggy on the cob. I figured I would try again because everyone has an off day. The second time was worse. The rice was flavorless and stuck together in clumps. The fried dough was hard and crunchy. And they forgot my condiments. However the staff is friendly and delivery is fast. That's the only reason I have 2 stars. However I won't be ordering again, and that makes me sad....I was so excited to be back in town...

Regarding the New Central Street location(formerly Mario's Ristorante) in Central Street. The food was really good and the owner himself I believe it was , was really nice and asked how our food was. No problems there. However the ceiling lights in there bugged the hell outta my eyes and I I don't have really any sensitivity normally but wow, even my friend said they were bugging his eyes. The l.e.d strips on the walls aren't a problems for me but, these are the main ceiling lights that change brightness and will bug your eyes in there. If you have seizures, stay outta here and order delivery. The food again no problem, my first time eating lamb today there and it didn't disappoint. It was...
