AM Coffee & Co. — Restaurant in Southbury

Visited this coffee shop this morning and was left underwhelmed, so I’m giving it 2 stars. The barista wasn’t rude but seemed tired and lacked any enthusiasm or warmth, making the interaction feel flat and uninspiring.

The coffee itself was a letdown. I ordered a double espresso, expecting a well-pulled shot with a rich crema, as you’d get from freshly roasted beans in 20-30 seconds. Instead, the shot was pulled in a mere 6 seconds, resulting in a flat, lifeless drink with absolutely no crema. It was a clear sign of subpar beans or technique.

I have been a regular customer at AM Coffee & Co since opening day and cannot say enough great things!!! The coffee, the pastries, bagels, atmosphere and people who own and work at the shop are all outstanding!! This new spot in town just opened days before Christmas! AM Coffee & Co features Kash & Liv house-made syrups as well as local Bagelman Bagels (GF options) and Uncle Matts pastries. They offer milk alternatives, bulk bagels to go and a variety of swag (plus a cute little book library).
