Crazy Crab — Restaurant in Southfield

If you have high high food standards don't try this place. Ordered the fried shrimp rice frieds"catfish" basket, and the shrimps, crawfish,and lobster tail bag. Our total came to $60. The Rice's was under seasoned and cold and chewy, as if it were sitting for a day or two and they partially warmed it. This place is a scam, the fish that they have on their menu as catfish is not so, if you are a real seafood eater and cook often at home and grocery shop, you would know that is not catfish, I'm guessing it's swime, I'm not sure though but it doesn't have a taste of catfish neither did it have it's smell, also whatever fish it was ,it was cold, fries were hard and not hot and not seasoned. Now the seafood boil.it was also tastless, you have to season food, not give people butter sauce to compensate for lack of seasoning. This place attracts the right crowd of people as well. Those that want cheap seafood. This was my first and last the time, they underserved us, with a lobster tail cut into two, and about four shrimp and several crawfish, we know that seafood is not high in weight therefore the quantity should have been more. One potato and one piece of corn and one piece of egg. SMH. The price is definitely a reflection of the quality and quantity of food. I will never patronize this business. I'd rather make my own seafood, with fresh ingerdidiemts.if you want good seafood you have to go to a premium seafood restaurant, not this place. 60 was too cheap and it definitely showed.this place will run out of business soon. My experience at this establishment was horrible. After waiting for an hour to be seated, we placed our order and waited. We received our boil fairly quickly but waited for our catfish, fries, and hushpuppies. When we received the catfish, my daughter tasted a small piece and stated it didn't taste right. When the server returned, we informed her, and she offered us a discount. We informed her that we had no intention of eating the fish and wanted it removed from our bill. She informed us that she could not make that decision; that the manager would have to void it. We informed her that we wanted to speak to him about it. When he approached, he literally asked, "What do you want?" After we informed him of our dissatisfaction with the catfish, he too offered to discount it. When we said we wanted it removed from our bill, he stated, "But you touched it." We informed him that we had no way of knowing how it tastes without actually tasting it. He then asked, "what do you want me to do, void it?" We told him yes. He walked away with an attitude and didn't bother telling our server. When the server came back, she said he voided it. We informed our server that we would be back, that we did not like the way the manager spoke to us. She stated that he speaks to everyone like that, including the employees. Shameful. Sooo here is my opinion! I read the reviews of this restaurant and it was totally mixed! 😫 went there yesterday for a birthday celebration. It was 15 of us that showed out of 20. There was a large party that was sat before us...about 5 mins after my husband and I arrived. We waited 2 hours to be seated 😫😫😫😫 now should I be mad 🤔 I wasn't 🤷🏽‍♀️ with such a large party it's to be expected. Please note they DON'T do reservations if it's a few in your party 5 and under your good..because they were sitting pretty reasonably for smaller parties. Once we were seated we were put at 2 different tables that seated 8. Our waitress was super nice and patient. It was everyone's 1st time except for 2. Now to the food we all ordered various items...if u order fried foods it's a longer wait time.....the seafood bags are quick. We had the seafood bags.....catfish basket, wing dings and fries and the shrimp fried rice 🤗😋😋😋😋 YUP it was delicious!! No one complained about their food.
