This place was great had the breaded pork chops and opted for two sides of dumplings versus the red skins or traditional mashed potatoes and veggies was a side offered but outta respect for just doing a high carb that was not an option I wanted. My fiancé did the chicken parizi with two sides of mashed potatoes it looked done to perfection way entree came with with a tossed salad which my fiancé upgraded to the cucumber salad which was delicious and you got bread that looked fresh and yummy. Her potatoes had gravy and so did my dumplings it was full of flavor and I enjoyed it. I was on a mission for us to sample a dessert I opted for the chocolate torte cake and she had the vanilla cake she said hers was decent but a tad dry mine was pretty good it came plated whip whip cream and chocolate sauce next time I plan on trying the apricot crepes. The service was outstanding young guy rl name Julia was our server and was very patient answering my many questions and always made sure everything was okay Top notch server and very polite with a good vocabulary did not say not a problem once. So I am by far a critic of Hungarian cuisine but one think I do know is that everything seemed to be made scratch which is what I crave the most but the food seemed simple and authentic just what I prefer I will return for a steak Budapest soon I would recommend this establishment who is searching for homemade comfort food ,huge portions and very...
Read moreHungarian Rhapsody has athentic old world, Hungarian food. All though, we like to get their Chicken Paprikas, their Stew is the best I have had and reminds me of exactly the way that my Grandmother made it and passed it down to my Mommy. Oh and even if you didn't save room for desert, you totally should still order the Cremish to go!! (If you are lucky enough to go and they didn't sell out of it.) I have actually placed a carry out order just for the Cremish. Which brings me to the fact that they have carry out orders. You can order a family order of something and take it home to eat or order individual dishes of different things and still eat as a family at home. They do accept reservations. One of the evenings that we try to make, is their Duck Dinner events which you do need to call ahead and reserve your dinners. Don't wait until the day before because their is a great chance they will already be full. I you want to try it but don't want to order it for the entire family, they still have a full menu available on that night. Just make the reservation for one duck dinner but let them know how many people will be dining with you. You won't regret making that dinner. Don't let the price keep you away either, you get half a duck and all the fixings, with soup or salad and fresh baked bqread. I always end up bringing enough for a...
Read moreMyself and my fiancée were there last Saturday. They were slightly busy, but nothing to bad. As soon as we got sat, it seemed as we we're forgotten. We waited for over 10 mins to even be asked about our drinks. We already knew what we wanted, as we came for the stuffed peppers, and chicken paprika. Our waiter was younger, but seemed to know his way around. Still, we had to ask for our bread basket, refills, and even our main course after 40 mins. Mind you other tables were sat, order taken, and food brought out before ours. We truly felt it was because we looked different. I have neon green hair, and my fiancée has purple hair. We didn't "fit in" with the normal crowd. So after 40 mins we asked where our food was, and our waiter was like "oh yeah, I should go grab it" My peppers were hot, but my mashed potatoes were almost ice cold. My fiancée Chicken Paprikas was also cold, and the sauce was almost solidified, consisting of a jelly/jello type texture. We asked to speak to a namager, but the owner came to talk to us instead. He was apologetic, and also said there was no excuse for this. While we never had a bad experience here, sadly this time was it. Hopefully, they will do...
