Shottys Kitchen Halal — Restaurant in Southgate

I can’t say enough good things about Shotty’s. Since finding this gem a couple weeks ago, my husband has ordered at least 7 times. He gets the spicy chicken sub and says it’s the best he’s ever had. I’ve tried the rice bowl with chicken and steak and the steak and cheese sub. I’m a picky eater and Shotty, the owner & chef, was so kind and accommodating. He convinced me to try the rice bowl and I was not disappointed. The steak & chicken are cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. The white sauce is so good and all of the veggies were cooked perfectly. The rice lives up to the hype and is amazing. The portion is big so I’ll be eating leftovers for a couple days. The steak and cheese sub is just as delicious. The steak is seasoned so well that I didn’t even need the mayo for extra flavor, it is just an added bonus. The fries are great as well and I love the seasonings. Shotty is so down to earth and friendly and really makes you feel welcome. You can tell he loves what he does & takes pride in his food. We have been wanting to try this place since it opened. The only thing I can say, I'm sorry we waited so long. First, absolutely wonderful little place with so many colors. Second, my guy had the bacon cheeseburger and I had the cheeseburger. So darn delicious!!! The meat was so tasty and flavorful. The buns were also amazing and buttery. He used shredded lettuce, which is the best for hamburgers. The fries are similar to shoestring and also wonderful. Then we met Shotty, such a nice guy. Oh and we tried his cheesecake brownie - OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS!!!

Overall this place is amazing and I cannot wait to go back and try the chicken bowls and well everything on the menu!
