My fiance and I stopped in for a quick bite to eat here. We went to a late night movie and they were the only place open. The food was fine, however the service left a bit to be desired.
I don't want to be too harsh on our server, I'm one myself, but I feel the need to say something. For one thing it took a bit long to greet or even acknowledge our table (at least by my restaurants standards. Guests should be greeted within a minute or less of sitting down.) But honestly I don't even really care about that, and wouldn't be mentioning it, if it weren't for everything else.
She seemed to be in a rush to be away from us. She spent longer with every other table than she did us, and she brought our check when we were only maybe 3 bites into our meals. I had to ask for ranch 3 separate times. In order to get boxes, we had to shout it out to her as she passed by, because she wasn't stopping to check on us.
I'm not sure if we offended her in some way, if so, I apologize. I mean, I did ask if she was in the weeds, but that was only because she had someone else greet her table and I was gonna sympathize with her. I hope she didn't take that as an insult.
I'm not sure if she was talking about us to other staff members, but when we went to pay, the cashier kept giving us nasty looks. I had wanted to get a piece of cake to celebrate my birthday, but since the check was brought so early, I was unable to. So when I saw they had a fridge up front with cake slices in it, I got excited. Before I could even ask if we could buy a slice, the cashier gave me a very dirty look and then glanced me up and down as if to say "do you really think you need a slice of cake, fatty?" Which, fair enough. I am pretty fat, lol. But still rude. And my fiance said before I even got up there, she had been being rude and giving nasty glares.
I still gave 3 stars, because it's possible that I misread everything and that everything else was simply a mistake. Plus as a restaurant worker, myself, I hate giving servers a hard time. But I've just never felt so immediately unwelcome somewhere before.
Also, apologies to our server if we did offend in some way. That wasn't our attention. Please don't take this review...
ย ย ย Read moreFirst and last visit. Me and a friend came in tonight I ordered a SUPER PATTY MELT Chilli cheese fries (which were not offered as a side for the sandwich) and a cup of lemon chicken rice soup which is included with the sandwich. My companion ordered a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. The SUPER PATTY MELT is similar to the regular patty melt you get at a coney island plus bacon. When the food arrived I took a couple of bites of my sandwich and noticed there was no bacon. I let the waitress know there is no bacon she wanted me to check both halves of the sandwich as if there would be bacon on one half. I told her I would like it made correctly. She took the sandwich back in the back, the cooks spoke in their language very loud to as I could hear them very clearly and the waitress brings back the same sandwich with bacon added. What type of nonsense is that? I requested it be removed from the bill. Once the bill was received I noticed I was charged for the soup that I did not intend to order but only did because it was offered with the sandwich. How petty of a place is this? First you don't want to remake a sandwich for an order YOU MESSSED UP, then you want to charge for soup that should have been removed with the sandwich for the inconvenience! But it's all good I will never eat there again and the person who recommended the place will spread the word as well. Same your money...
ย ย ย Read moreBeen going to Six Stars for many years. Good food, good service and reasonably price. However, last night raised many red flags for me. During this pandemic, I assumed they would take more measures to comply with the mandate to keep their loyal customers feeling comfortable dining there. Here are the problems I found: All booths were dirty. We had to wait while one was cleaned. Booth was merely wiped with a wet rag, no disinfectant, condiments were on the table, salt, pepper, jelly ,mustard and ketsup, none of that was wiped. Menus, old, dirty and torn, not wiped, no other option to view a menu. Some servers did not have their nose covered with the mask. People were allowed in without a mask. Cooks and kitchen help: only one out of 5 wore a mask. I saw only one wearing gloves. This made me extremely uncomfortable. The food and service were still good. It was their disregard for the state mandate is what troubled me. They did socially distance people by only using every other booth.Needless to say, sadly we will not be returning until this pandemic is over. Itโs still a great restaurant if you donโt mind them not following direction on how to keep your...
