The worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Ordered birria tacos. Well it come with some kind of bbq. The past 3 years I’ve always got beef when ordering birria. I didn’t want that kind of meat. I’m used to goat or beef. This was some mushy nasty stuff. Awful taste. I work all week 60 plus hours and can’t even sit and enjoy this meal. Their salsa tastes like just regular store bought salsa. Manager come out asking what’s the issue. I was being simple. Just wanted what I paid for. I work too hard for my money to go out to eat when I barely get spare time. Pay 60$ and get something I don’t want. Well I was so disgusted with this visit I didn’t even eat dinner. So I paid for it just to leave and not cause a scene. Didn’t get offered to swap my tacos. So I just accepted that as a write off. It cost me 60$ to realize to never ever walk back foot in this door. Too many better restaurants to deal with this. The world only cares about money. I’m never one to complain. What happened to customer satisfaction. I would of paid for both. Little do they know and left a nice tip but I seriously don’t think this restaurant should even be in business only good thing is the waiter was actually the coolest chill person but has to work for such bad leadership. Do NOT order Birria tacos here. Not beef or goat.I think it was barbacoa or something. No juice to dip in as well. And they don’t come toasted and dipped in juice. The female manager is the worst people person I’ve ever seen working in...
Read moreIt’s 1pm on the Sunday after the opening of this area’s first Los Primos franchise. The place is half empty now but the staff is exhausted by three straight days of full house sittings, so we forgive the messy tables and how the hostess/bar back/waitress took her time to acknowledge us as we waited uncomfortably by the door. Our waiter on the other hand was the kind you want; responsive, attentive, and a good memory. The food was franchise food, but my fussy husband said the shrimp cocktail was reminiscent of what you’d get in Spain, except they thicken the sauce more. He’d even consider ordering it again — which is high praise given his usually grumpy attitude about American restaurants. My taco salad was ok. Notably, there was lots of crumbled cheese on top. Lots of shredded chicken, although I’d prefer a bit more refried beans to keep the base from getting soggy. Sadly, there was no time to defrost more flan, so my dessert was the Chimi cheesecake, not /quite/ defrosted. Nor was the chocolate lava in hubby’s dessert. But hey, it’s a franchise with food that’s not bad, and they’re just getting started. Will patrons come back on their next date night? Well our check was only $55 before tip (no beer yet — Brunswick County is predictably dragging their feet on the liquor license), so the price ain’t bad, the food was as good as any other franchise, and once you’re seated you have the prospect of an awesome waiter who can actually talk to a Londoner about London. Happy...
Read moreI was seriously let down by this place. My child got a chicken tender kids meal. I asked for ranch for the sauce and was charged a dollar for about 2-3 tablespoons of ranch. Why does a sauce not come included with a chicken tender meal? Ground beef was fairly greasy and my tacos were not full. Server had one earbud in his ear during shift which I felt was unprofessional. Salsa bowls were very tiny with a small amount of salsa to start. No costs on in store menu, while inconvenient, wasn't a huge deal to me since I was able to pull up menu from website fairly easy. You make the payment on a phone device while server waits for it back. I deliberated and ended up putting in a custom tip (auto values are 20, 22 and 25%) so he just eventually left it with me at the table and never returned. The chips were very good. Family of four with 4 waters to drink = $70 before tip. I think I'll just stick with San Felipe when I'm in the mood for...
