My wife and I went in for breakfast this morning. I'd been up all night driving and was hungry; to my surprise, they had homemade corn beef hash! So I ordered corn beef hash, scrambled eggs, grits, and toast. The toast was not dry but had a sponge consistency: sourdough, delicious. My grits and scrambled eggs were cooked as I requested, grits were not too soupy and the eggs were fluffy perfectly cooked. Everything else was so great the beef hash struggled to be the star; but prevailed. It had very small dice potatoes and corned beef seasoned to perfection. I did add salt pepper and butter to the grits, they were cooked with salt, I just like a little more than most.
My wife ordered eggs over medium, blueberry muffin, and fruit. Again, eggs were cooked to perfection. The blueberry muffin came out toasted! A delightful surprise for my wife. She said it was delicious. Fruit was fresh.
This place was busy; and the staff was attentive and polite. We enjoyed our meal and our time there. It is a pleasure to recommend this establishment for breakfast. As well as everything we had was prepared, I'm certain the rest of the menu is as delicious.
Update: went back to have some more corned beef hash, then changed my mind. I had a BLT on white bread (because it was so good the other day for breakfast) with a hard food egg and potatoe salad. The sandwich did not disappoint. The bread was amazing and the rest... come on, who doesn't like a BLT with an egg? It was delicious. I will say this if you don't like store bought potatoe salad, don't get it. It was store bought and tasted just like what you get at your local grocer. Want impressed much with that. Potatoe salad is easy to make I have two separate recipes I use. One I use sweet gherkins and salad dressing and the other I use many dills and Hellmann's mayonnaise. Other than that, both recipes have potatoes, hard boiled eggs, and mustard. Eaten chilled. You could add finely diced celery and use sweet relish or dill relish; but you would need the celery for the crunch. Texture is key. I don't like raw onions, so that isn't an option for me. But could be for someone who does. Anyway, very simple recipe and had always been devoured when I make it, either flavor dill or sweet.
Keep businesses like this in busy. They are rare and disappearing every quarter. I try and review every restaurant that is a blessing to the community they support as often as I run across them. This is definitely...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I (spouse and 2 children) arrived at 10:00am on a Saturday so it was relatively busy with the older crowd. 2 groups in front of us, and we waited about 5 minutes. We greeted with a staff that looked rush and confused. After arriving at our table we waited about 10 minutes for the waitress to arrived. She was struggling quite a bit with the digital handheld device to enter items for drinks.
After about 10 minutes we received the drinks from someone else. Mind you, the waitress was helping one other table and one person at the bar only. After another 10 minutes she came back to the table. Very confused she took our order extremely slowly and asking the manager twice how to input items.
After 25 minutes we received our food, again from someone else, and it was almost room temperature. The food was mediocre at best and my wife had a hair on her bacon. The hash was not good, potatoes were an acquired taste, pancakes fell apart upon adding syrup. The eggs were good however. We ate what we could and waited for the check.
No exaggeration, we waited 40 minutes for her to come by. I got up to look for her a couple times. I was extremely unsatisfied and I am very forgiving due to the fact they were busy. This waitress was terrible and needs better training on the equipment. The food should not be slightly warm given the quality.
I would like to give it another chance, but I do not want to spend another $50 on bad...
