I’m making this complaint because if I was an owner of a pizza franchise, then I would want to know what my employees are doing. At 8:34, I made an online order 165344378. The estimated pick up time was 8:54 PM, so we went to the Marcos in Spanish Fork at about 9:05 PM. I went in and nobody would come up to the desk and two guys said they were off the clock. Finally, a girl came to The desk and asked if she could help. I told her that I had an online order and she asked for my name and couldn’t find it so then I gave her the order number and she then told me that it got canceled. I asked her how it could’ve got canceled because I didn’t cancel it. There was a girl sitting eating some cheese sticks at one of the tables and said that she was the one who canceled it and I asked her, why would she cancel it and she said they were behind and her tooth was hurting. When I got there, there was nobody making any pizzas and just a bunch of Teenagers messing around in the back. The girl sitting down eating her cheese bread happened to be the manager at the time. And I asked her why she would cancel somebody’s order if she knew they were going to come and pick it up. She said she didn’t have enough staff and that she just had to cancel the Order. In my opinion, you don’t just cancel someone’s order because you can’t keep up. If anything it might be a little bit later than expected, but there was no confirmation email or anything letting me know that the order was canceled. The store doesn’t close until 12 PM, so why would you cancel Orders?That is not how you do business and she just kept saying well my tooth hurt as she was eating her cheese sticks, which is very ironic as she canceled our food and she had time to fix her own. This place is very unprofessional and don’t think I will be going back. And I’m gonna share my experience with others as well to let them know of the chaos that goes on at this pizza place. if zero was an option… I would give this place zero out of five stars! We have met most of the staff and they are all friendly, courteous, and helpful. They don't mind eight of us dining in. And we love the welcoming environment this Marco's location has created. The pizza is always topped to the max. It's hot. It taste's great. The restaurant is always clean. My family and I met the owner of this Marco's location today. He was exceptionally friendly. He helped make our experience as awesome as it always is. He gave us a free specialty pizza. That's customer service at its best. He certainly knows how to build loyalty! I can't say enough good things about this Marco's. What's crazy is that my family of eight can eat at Marco's for less than $25. Every time we order from Marco's, we receive an email asking us to leave honest feedback. We do. And then we get a free cheesy bread. In addition to the free cheesy bread, we get coupons via email. Our favorite is the $22 special that includes two large pizzas--one specialty and one two-topping pizza. After we spend a certain aggregate amount (like $75), we get a $10-off coupon. Last week, rushing between kids activities, I placed an order for pizza and had just enough time to swing by Marcos in Spanish Fork and make it home in time for dinner. I pulled into the drive through and we could not find my order. I quickly realized when I had placed the order on my phone, I had chosen the wrong location!!! and my order was ready and waiting 30 minutes away. Frustrated and out of time I decided to re-place my order at the Spanish Fork location and wait there, paying twice for Pizza and call it a loss.
I went in to reorder and as I explained the situation the Owner offered to cover the cost of our meal and rush the order. I was in and out in 15 minutes! He even walked the pizza to our carful of hungry kids. Their generosity and kindness was so unexpected. I am so grateful!
