Nevada Taco Grill on Vista — Restaurant in Sparks

I understand it’s a local restaurant, so I’m going to tread lightly. Because this is someone’s dream to have their own business. But the food is overpriced and I hate to say it, but it’s well below average. Although, the entire staff were extremely friendly.

I got the super burrito and two tostadas. 80% of my entire meal was bland refried beans. The burrito was mushy with a little bit of grilled chicken inside. Although the chicken did taste good. The tostadas were a puddle of refried beans with a little bit of lettuce, cheese, and a dollop of what seem to be instant mix guacamole.

Not trying to be rude, but I would never go there ever again.

Save yourself the time and go to Taco Bell. If you are in a pinch and need something quick.

So disappointed that we didn't get to try the food after reading so many good reviews. This review has nothing to do with the food, obviously, it has to do with our experience inside the restaurant. When we got close to the restaurant portion of the store, we started to get a heavy smell of frying oil, which started to turn us off from wanting to order. Looking at the menu, the prices seem fair, but they could use more of a description about the items they serve. While standing at the counter, we noticed a dish placed into a microwave and it being started to warm up whatever had been sitting out so long that it was no longer hot. Every single location of Nevada Taco Grill keeps my standards very high for on-the-go Mexican food around town. They have such a wide selection, but every dish feels like a specialty. They also have very affordable options that will still leave you satisfied. Big fan of their rolled taco deal. There tends to be somewhat of a wait for your food, but that's because everything is made to order, from my experience. Also has the best dang cheesecake this side of the Sierras. I have limited dine-in experience outside of the Meadowood food court, but the staff are always friendly, talented, and eager. I am tempted to avoid reviewing it, just to keep this franchise a well kept secret, but they deserve...
