There's a lot to say about first impressions. It was a special occasion, so my wife and I decided to try a new place. The hostess was warm and welcoming. We got our seats and placed our orders, I ordered the shrimp with Alfredo and linguine, and my wife ordered the lasagna. When we ordered, they asked if we wanted soup or salad. We decided salad. What we didn't know was that this was an additional to the main course. Our meals came out in a timely manner, but we had to flag someone down because no silverware had been set out for us. My shrimp was great and not overcooked. However, my wifes lasagna was heavily smothered in sauce to the point that you couldn't even see the actual dish. We soon found out why this was the case. The bottom of the lasagna was burnt black. I know enough in the food industry that you do not serve guests burnt food, let alone a twenty dollar burnt lasagna. She sent it back, and we waited. Our server was not attentive, as I ran out of sweet tea relatively quick and was never asked for a refill the entire time we were there. When her food finally came out, it was also burnt but not as bad as the first piece. After two bites, she gave up on it. Our waitress did offer us both free dessert. Which we accepted. But when the check came out, they had not taken the lasagna off the check. It wasn't until our hostess had said something, and they quickly took the check back. In the end, they made it right by removing the meal and adding the desserts. I understand that sometimes things happen, but there were a few mistakes. I am always one for second chances, so I will go back one day to try something else.

Opa! Wowza! And How do you do! We were given a recommendation from a friend of my husband. How happy we are that we listened! As you walk in the first thing you see is a beautiful brick wall that I believe is part of the original building. Eyes upward and you will see beautiful tiles from days gone by. The aromas filling the dining area start making your mouth water in eager anticipation of what’s to come. With local brew, Calfkiller, on tap, you can never go wrong. I can never remember the names so I simply ask for the darkest brew available. The lit shelves in the bar area proudly display the wide array of spirits on hand to quench any thirst . We are so excited by the menu items we can hardly wait to get back down there! Grouper! Souvlaki! Pastas! Steaks! And desserts oh my! Run don’t walk to see for yourself, you won’t regret it! I also recommend asking for Ms Cayleigh, she is smart, attentive and courteous. I promise she will treat you right!

A Hidden Gem in Sparta – Brother's Tavern ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nestled into the corner of town square in Sparta, TN is Brother's Tavern. This family-run business feels like home the moment you step in, and it’s clear they take pride in everything they do with the perfect mix of warm hospitality and incredible food. One of the best things about Brother's Tavern is that they use cherished family recipes, and you can taste the love in every bite. Their lasagna is rich and flavorful, with layers of perfectly seasoned sauce, cheese, and pasta that feel like a hug in food form. The chicken kabob platter is another standout—tender, juicy, and packed with bold, delicious flavors. The staff is wonderful—friendly, attentive, and genuinely excited to share their family’s passion for food and hospitality. It’s this kind of service that makes Brother's Tavern a place you’ll want to visit again and again. It’s a gem you don’t want to miss!

So me and my family are always up to try a new spot and the reviews on this place 4.8 definitely worth giving a chance. Then we found out the reviews must be written by the staff. We placed an online order which was a gyro plate, lasagna, and chicken tender plate let go through each item. The gyro which on the menu says it's meat over rice with tazik sauce and pita bread and a small Greek salad. Consisted of 6 slices of reheated pita bread, gyro meat that had been left on the grill too long that had the texture of extra crispy bacon, some thin slices pieces of raw red onion and two olives that had an oil basil drizzled on top. No rice no tazik nothing. I order an extra chicken skewer and got three pieces of flavorless chicken on a burnt stick. My wife got the lasagna which as the previous bad review stated was drowed in sauce and for some reason crunchy so probably burnt. My little one got 5 reheated rubbery blan chicken tenders with no dipping sauce. Best thing was the mac and cheese which was over cooked too. My wife went to pick it up and told one of the waitresses that she was here to pick up an online order and was meet with "yeah that's why he went to the back to get your order" For 83 dollars with no drinks we definitely expected better. Save your hard earned cash and go to some place like Yanni's or Franks way better food, a better price and hands down...

FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!! My husband and I happened upon the wonderfully charming town of Sparta on our way home from North Georgia, while celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We noticed the brightly lit OPEN sign while driving around the square and decided to stop in for a drink and snack. We're sure glad we did! Our server was very friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We ordered cocktails and shared a basket of Greek Fries. They were perfectly crisp fries topped with a generous portion of feta cheese, served with a delectable housemade tsziki sauce. Before we finished, we had already made plans to return for dinner! Dinner was as wonderful as expected. We started out by sharing a Caesar Salad. Crisp romaine lettuce with shaved parmesean, tossed with plenty of some of the best Caesar dressings I've ever had, and topped with crispy croutons. The dressing left no doubt it was NOT from a bottle. After changing his mind at least four times, my husband settled on the Grouper Fingers platter, with fries and a side of garlicky broccoli. I ordered the Buffalo Shrimp. Both were large portions, and delicious. The service was outstanding! A couple from the table next to us ordered the kabobs, which was one of my husbands choices, and raved about how flavorful they were. I think he wants those when we...
