I visited Church's this afternoon and when I got my food home, I was both disgusted and cheated out of my money and food. Make sure to stay tuned until the end for the best part.
The restaurant was busy but I was surprised at how the staff working there were able to get people in and out in a decent amount of time. The communication between the staff was great and they were on a roll with getting orders out. However, I had a large order so I had to wait for a while in the overly packed restaurant. That wasn't a big deal until it got crazy in there.
One of my issues was with the customers that came in and out of that restaurant. They stood by the door, blocking everyone from getting in or out, and they would "talk" (which was more like yelling), at one another, so much in fact that one of the women working there had to tell them to be quiet because she couldn't hear what the customers had ordered. I had to push my way through the big group of overly loud people in order to get out the door and to my car once my food was finally ready.
My second issue was when I got home. I was charged for a lot of food that I didn't get. When I first ordered my food, I was told that they didn't have the family combo that I wanted to order which was weird seeing as though they have it listed on their website, but it wasn't a big deal. However, I basically only received chicken and 2 half sized sides when I ordered spicy and original chicken and tenders, 3 large sides, an individual side, the new biscuits they are suppose to have and honey mustard. They told me that they couldn't make spicy chicken because they didn't have the seasoning to make it. Okay...That was fine. They said they didn't have coleslaw. That was okay too, I guess. They didn't even have honey mustard dipping sauce and that was fine, but not giving me all of my sides and the biscuits that I spent extra money for is not okay, especially seeing as though they didn't have several things on the menu and what I did order was only what they had available. So for $40, I didn't get about half of my food.
The corn that I did get was bitter and obviously they lied on the website about it being "the dessert of the vegetables" and the regular biscuits that I did get were cold. The chicken tenders had a strange texture to them and even our cat wouldn't touch the meat from them.
The biggest kicker was after we ate what little bit was actually edible out of what I did receive in the bag. My wife went to put all of the chicken in one box and found a long hair, deep fried onto a piece of the chicken.
Normally I would go get my money back or call and complain, but what would be the point? I was already at home and I wasn't about to deal with the craziness of going back up there. They should be able to put hot, hairless food in a bag.
Needless to say, we won't...
Read moreI came here as an Uber Eats delivery driver. I had instructions that I followed and they yelled at me for following them. The door was open so I attempted to go in to the restaurant. Told me to get out and couldn't go in.
Ok fine. I can understand that. They could have demanded this with a little more decorum. Then I tell them who I was picking up for and they tell me they don't know who that is and asked if I knew what they ordered.
I look in the app to get the list.I repeat the order, the employee goes back in and then comes immediately out and tells they can't fill my order pick up. So I call my customer tell them the situation and they request a substitution.
The substitution was granted but then I kept getting an earful from the staff of how they didn't have proper technology used by other stores so they could refuse the order and other non-professional complaints being given to a subcontractor instead of the service administrators giving me this...
Read moreMy husband and I went to your Spartanburg store on Sunday July 28. We ordered the 10 for 10 thighs and legs. When we arrived at my sisters home, we realized there were only 9 peices, and we had asked if we could get more legs than thighs because that's the only thing the children would eat. We were given 6 thighs and three legs. I went back to the store and told one of the cashiers what had happened. The young lady asked me what was she supposed to do about it, and that she couldn't take the chicken back. That was understandable! The young lady threw another leg in the box, but I still had more thighs than legs. The young lady threw another leg in the box. I told her that it should have been right in the first place. I was very disappointed with this young lady. I am not a resident of Spartanburg, but I was born there. I ask that your employees are better trained in their social skills in dealing with customers.
Thank you We...
