I went with my girlfriend and we both ordered two rolls of sushi. I thought both the food and service were good; however, everything changed when it came time to pay the bill. Our bill came to a total of $47, and I left a 20% tip. My girlfriend decided to give me a $20 bill to pay her portion. I put my credit card and the $20 bill in the pocket of the checkbook, sticking out so both were clearly visible. I made sure the $20 bill was both secured and in front of the card. The waitress came back with my card and I paid the bill and left. Then, once I sat down in my vehicle, I received the notification for the full $47 charge rather than the $27 that was expected. I then removed myself from my vehicle and went back inside the restaurant to discuss the matter. The waitress proceeded to gaslight my partner and I, stating that there was never a $20 bill and only the card. She then started moving tables and looking around as if it had fallen on the ground. Mind you, I ensured the bill was tightly secured along with my card inside the check book. The supervisor/manager came out to speak to me, and he was very kind and respectful. He truly wanted to help me solve this problem and was actively seeking a solution. He went back and forth on the phone with his manager to determine what to do. After checking the camera footage and showing it to me, he said he could not visibly see a $20 bill, but that he believed me and wanted to help refund me. He was going to call his manager and take the steps to providing me with a full refund, but then swiftly returned with my $20 bill in hand. I thanked him and left the restaurant. I believe the waitress finally gave in and gave him the money that she stole. I know with certainty that the $20 bill only could have left that check book if it was purposefully removed by hand. Bottom line - someone took the money out and acted like they didn’t. Nonetheless, I must give kudos to the supervisor. He was not involved in any way with the initial situation, but he helped us find a solution in the end. I’m sorry to say we had a very poor experience our first...
Read moreI honestly should have known better. It lived up to my expectations.
We arrived when the rush hadn’t quite hit yet so we assumed we would be in and out fairly quick and be able to go enjoy the rest of our evening. We couldn’t have been more wrong. Forty-five minutes later and after 6 other couples had not only received and eaten their food, but paid and left, ours had still not been finished, much less brought to our table.
When we asked the waiter if he knew about how much longer it would be. He gestured at the sushi bar, shrugged and frantically said “I don’t know.” As if he expected us to understand that they we’re busy and he didn’t already know we’d been waiting for 45 minutes watching people come in, eat, pay and leave. He said “Let me go check.” We replied “Ok, no worries. Thank you.” He doesn’t even check! He goes and delivers food to the 7th couple that came in after us and than takes two more orders and refills drinks at another table. When he manages to get our 4 ( Just 4 ) Sushi rolls to our table. He slides the plate across the table, in a flash he points at 8 spots on the plate (mind you they didn’t keep the rolls together. They got fancy and mixed them up in groups of 3 and 4 around the plate.), rapidly says what each one is and than jets away before we can confirm just what exactly we are looking at.
I will say. The pretty presentation didn't make up for the lack of flavor and truly crippled the expectation of what $80 dollars worth of sushi was going to taste like. A plate of tempura flakes and water down sauces drowning your sushi is pretty much what you can expect to see arrive to your table.
I hope you have a better experience...
Read moreDo not come here - sneaky waitress! This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. The bill for 4 sushi rolls was $47 and we paid with a 20 dollar bill and a credit card. I was splitting bill with my boyfriend. The waitress took it. As we were leaving. His Amex was charged the entire 47. Me being confrontational, go back in and ask the same waitress “hey I’m so sorry, but my boyfriend was charged the full 47 but we paid with a 20 dollar bill too” (btw we tipped too). The waitress tried to convince us that she didn’t see the 20 dollar bill, then proceeded to get the manager to check the booth and so on. She lies over again saying she never saw the bill, walking back and forth from kitchen to lobby. We stood our ground, but she still told the manager she never saw the money. She tried to gaslight saying there was never any money. Look girl, if you need money that bad, I would give it to you but I work hard for my 20 and for her to say she never saw a 20 is atrocious. We FINALLY get the money back because the manager is apologizing. Whether or not she ended up confessing, we don’t know. He even checked cameras but there were none that had footage of our waitress. Enough said. We will...
