Art Lounge — Attraction in Spartanburg

After our oldest son passed away recently, a friend of his had boat flags and a smaller keepsake of the same made to celebrate him and some of the things he loved - each picture on the flag has a special meaning. We wanted to have the smaller flags framed for ourselves and our younger children to hang and cherish, and since we had had some beautiful framing done here years ago and had also seen an excellent review of a framed flag project they had done, I brought them to The Art Lounge. Brandi was incredibly sweet and kind and helped me pick out the perfect frame, glass and background setting for the flags. I wanted to have one of the three flags completed in a very short period of time so that our daughter could drive it home when she next came to visit from out of state, and Brandi said she would make that happen despite the difficulties it would cause her. She did just that and the final result is absolutely stunning! Keep in mind that Quality framing is expensive and the framing of a flag is very expensive due to the labor involved - If the flags aren't stitched down carefully, the final result can be a disaster. The care and attention given to our special pieces is amazing, and Brandi went above and beyond to help me in every way possible. We had seen a large giclée print at a gallery during a trip to New Orleans. After we returned home, we decided to get it. Before ordering it online, I dropped by The Art Lounge to see if they could frame it in a way similar to what was shown on the gallery website. Christina determined quickly that they had on-hand the materials needed. Brandi and Christina were both there when I took the print to the shop a week or two later. They found a matte color that best complements the print as well as an attractive frame that fit my budget. I was impressed by the way they collaborated and by how much thought the put into choosing the matte and the frame from so many options. When I picked up the finished product, it looked amazing. When I took it home, the response was,”Wow!” The workmanship is very precise—even the wire on the back. Two hooks were even provided so it was ready to hang.
