ALDI — Local services in Spartanburg

I’ve been frequenting this Aldi for about 7 years now since I’ve lived in Hillcrest. I’m not much of a fan of in-person shopping experiences, and this store amps that feeling up to about 11. The store itself is fine and the prices are hard to beat. The store is also clean and orderly which is a plus. MOST of the employees are nice and welcoming, except for one. For as long as I’ve been coming to this store, there is one lady in particular who is always rude, condescending, and just makes the experience of a trip to the grocery store all the more negative. I don’t know her name and honestly, I don’t care to know it. She’s an older African American lady and as far as I know, the only older (AA)lady working there as everyone else I see/have seen is on the younger side.

This store is super convenient for me as it is only a 2 minute drive from my house, but I’d honestly rather make the trip out to the west side Aldi if it means I don’t have to experience her sourpuss expression and negative energy. I understand customer service is annoying. I understand that people don’t appreciate you and it wears on your soul, I truly understand that, but that doesn’t give you a reason to be...

I came in the store this afternoon. There was an employee that I seen pass me a few times. She was extremely polite. Smiling laughing speaking to customers. Ready and willing to help any and everyone. I was making my way to the check out and seen her and what I’m assuming was a member of management walking towards the back of the store. The girl was still being professional and polite as the other girl was saying “well I’m in charge. You need to remember that.” She had a really nasty tone, body language, and attitude. If this is the kind of people you're putting in management you won’t keep your kind and polite employees there very long. I shop here weekly and for the most part have a great experience every time but today just rubbed me the wrong way. This store will now be a regular stop for me. Absolutely fantastic prices on everything, especially fresh produce dairy, meats. I purchased a beef tenderloin pre packaged, a piece large enough for 2. It was Morton/Omaha beef, the high end steak people, and steakhouses. That was what prompted me to try it. It was divine! Oh it was seasoned too! Delicous! I could never afford to go to, or mail order steaks from them, I paid like 8.00 for it at Aldi. I will buy again, including more great foods from this store. You pack your own groceries, I grabbed a couple of boxes from the store, I'm sure they sell bags if you choose too. That's one reason their prices are so fabulous! Oh! Avocado's were .55 last time I was there. Got turkey brest to cook this last holiday, $11.54. I saw other stores had at 20.00. So try Aldi I'm sure you will make it...
