My husband, myself, and our friends go here often. Usually food is great, staff is good, we have no complaints.. 9 times out 10.. until this morning, our waitress, Sylvia, was definitely mediocre at best. The restaurant was decently busy but not packed. Took about 10 minutes before she gave us silverware and asked for our drink order. We ordered our food too. Food was made quickly and well- no complaints as normal. Sylvia’s attitude was horrible. She looked, talked, and acted annoyed that she was at work(sorry, most of us don’t like our jobs but have to play the part when your job is hospitality). Then we asked for Waffle House sauce. That stuff is amazing and food just doesn’t taste the same without it. It took about 10 minutes before we were told they were out.. weird but okay, now my food is cold(I really love that weird stuff). Ate our food, our waitress, Sylvia, never asked us how it was, did come to refill our coffee but didnt even acknowledge us. She gave us our checks and walked away, never asking if we needed anything else, how it was, ect. I needed a to go box. She was standing too far away for us to ask her for one so we asked another waitress(don’t know her name), she said one minute and about 5 minutes later still no box. My husband had to get up and walk to the other side of the restaurant to ask our waitress for a box because even though 4 people were staring at her she did not come to us to ask what we needed. Just want to note that no I did not leave a tip(for the first time in 23 years), I waitressed for years not too long ago and I know you have to work for your money.. Writing our order down and handing us food is not how you make your tip. We will give this location another shot in the future as we have had so many good meals there in the past but if the service ends up being as poor as today, we...
Read moreMy daughter is a Waffle House fanatic so we frequent them a lot. In order to keep myself from getting burnt out we visit as many locations as we can in an attempt to find our favorite. Let's just say this wasn't it. From greet to ticket the experience was sub-par to the already basic service standard that WH used to be known for. As a professional food and Beverage manager I was disappointed in the acting manager's ability to handle a disgruntled customer who came in with a large Togo order. We were the only table in the whole restaurant. Yet our table and seat were dirty and I had to ask for almost everything....my coffee, my syrup, a spoon, a refill, etc. The waitress was obviously disinterested in our table over her personal conversation. The two workers spoke as if we weren't present there. Even the manager tried to get the server to understand inappropriate language in an open kitchen setting. And I quote "And just what the HELL is this..." the server screams from the dish sink to the bathroom essentially talking over me and my FIVE yr old. None of this singularly would be bothersome but when you add it all up. It's a no for me. 🙅🏾♀️Flies, dirty/sticky tables, inattentive staff, altercations between customers and managers over simply rectifiable issues, and I get the strong feeling they "judge a book by it's cover" here....
Read moreMy waitress Sylvia was terrible. She did not give good customer service. She was not attentive at all and didn't have a good attitude. I would have been better off serving myself. There was another waitress there her name started with an "F" ( she was brown skin and heavy set) it seemed like she was giving her friend/family discounts or free food. Then my waitress Sylvia left mid shift to go pick up another coworker.
Another worker came over and assisted me. Her name was TC and she was really nice and upbeat. The cook Pam did an awesome job with my food and even came by check on me. However, the staff was using two of the waffle machines and the waffle machines were dirty. Although they were dirty, they staff continued to cook waffles in them. I'm giving them a 2 Star because me food was good and the workers TC and...
