Found this cozy spot while visiting the area. Read a couple reviews before dropping in. A couple reviews were brutally bad while most others were 5 star. Will have to call bunk on the bad reviews. This is a small, cozy local eatery. (Bad review #1) Large groups will have to sit at separate tables, 4 persons to a table max. But it IS cozy, even at separate tables, you are still close. Parking is limited, if lot is full so is restaurant. (Bad review #2) As for all food being bad and the staff hovering behind you, THAT is not possible. I could believe 1 item not being properly prepared but not nearly everything. They would not still be in business as they know most of their customers by name. We were the only out-of-towners during our visit. And there is not enough room to stand behind you while you eat. That bad review appears to be a hatchet job by someone angry with them. This place is NOT the Hilton. If that is what you expect, keep looking as you WILL be disappointed. However, if you want to be treated like family, served fresh, well prepared food at prices comparable to fast food.... drop in and enjoy. We had a party of five. They did pull two tables together for us. IF it had been at the peak of lunch, this would have been very inconvenient for other diners. We would have been content to sit at two tables. Each person ordered something different, so we tried much of their menu. All food was well prepared and served in a timely manner. Service and atmosphere were excellent. Definitely have this one on my list to visit when back...

Everything I have ordered here has not disappointed.
The country fried steak and eggs taste like you'd expect it to taste, just like country home cooking! The omelettes too are quite tasty. I'm not a fan of grits but on a whim I decided to get then and was impressed! The side of potatoes are tough to pass up though. My wife received about the French toast. I'll take her word for it, I don't do sweet for breakfast. The coffee too was pretty good. I usually decide if I go back just for the taste of the coffee. So not disappointed either.
I must admit, if you're coming here expecting something fancy, turn around and go somewhere else. The food is served on paper plates, with plastic silverware and coffee is served in styrofoam cups. I guess this eliminates a dishwasher? Besides I usually go on Sundays, having freshly rolled out of bed!
They accept all credits cards, but if you pay cash you'll get a 3% discount for doing so....

We ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, which were fluffy, rich, and generously loaded with chocolate chips—a true treat to start the day. The omelet was absolutely perfect, stuffed with fresh ingredients and cooked just right. And we couldn’t get enough of their biscuits and gravy—the biscuits were soft and buttery, paired with the creamiest, most flavorful gravy we've ever tasted.
What really made the meal unforgettable was our incredible waitress. She was so warm and welcoming, ensuring our coffee cups were always full and making us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. Her cheerful attitude and attentiveness added a special touch to an already great experience.
