This is based after one time there, but it was so good that I'll definitely be back soon!
It's a large space so there's two doors. They can really use an obvious sign on the door that's not an entrance because I saw at least three groups of people try to come in that way. There's a big mural on one of the walls.
I came for a tortas because that's part of their name. I asked the person taking my order what they recommended and she said steak. So steak I got and it was amazing!! I was pretty satisfied after I finished eating it. It also dawned on me it only cost $7! My friend has the cactus tacos. Very unique and flavorful. We were both excited about the largest hot sauce selection we've seen in a restaurant! We tried 4 and all four tasted good with my torta!
Edit: I've been back several times. Food is still delicious, quick and cheap. Everyone who works here always seems nice. I've tried all of their hot sauces too. Definitely recommend the ahogado which is the steak torta with their amazing...
Read moreI've been living in the area for a few years and always drove by this place, but curiosity finally got the better of me and I looked up their online menu. As the name implies, they specialize in tortas (sandwiches), but they have other items as well. The reason I gave this place a chance was because they serve pambazos. I grew up in Mexico, and pambazos are one of my all-time favorite foods. Since I moved here and away from family, I haven't really had the chance to eat that, so I was quite sad and homesick. That is, until I found this place. While the sandwich itself wasn't as good as the ones my parents used to make (though that might just be childhood nostalgia talking), it definitely scratched the itch and satisfied the craving I'd been having for a long time. I may try some of their other items later, but just on the pambazo alone, this will definitely be a lunch spot for me whenever I find myself on this...
Read moreMy family and I have been here twice. The first time was in the middle of quarantine and it was smaller inside with no tables (looks like they had sectioned off half of the restaurant to possibly limit individuals inside). We only got snacks the first time around (tostilocos, nachos and aguas frescas). The second, the whole restaurant was open and there were tables to dine-in. We ordered food and sat at a table. We ordered pozole, chicken enchiladas, tacos de asada, a corn on the cob and a chicken quesadilla. The pozole was good, but needed a bit more flavor and definitely more cabbage. The dried hot peppers were a nice touch. Added real good heat! The enchiladas, tacos and quesadilla were good. The corn was ok, but looked a little sad, like it had been sitting in water long before we ordered it. All in all, we'd go back for certain items! The staff was also...
