Was rolling thru town and decided to grab a few drinks and shoot pool. Place is large. Have nothing bad to say about aesthetics, cleanliness, etc..
However, the bartender was extremely rude and and off-putting. The second I walked in, she was glaring at me. Eventually, she walked around the counter and stood right beside me staring up at me. It was such a weird interaction, I was convinced she wasn't actually trying to address me. Finally, she barks, "Can I help you??" before aggressively ordering me to display I.D.
For the next hour or so, she was giving me dirty looks and was verbally abrasive. The tension was palpable.
Mind you, I'm a polite guy. I treat service workers well and NEVER cause problems in public.
I was the only person of color in the establishment, so maybe that had something to do with it? Idk, I'm not one to play the race card, but I observed a TOTAL shift in tone and energy when she addressed other customers.
Needless to say, I'm never coming back here again. People who take their personal baggage out on customers is unacceptable, and I fundamentally distrust businesses that hire these...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI met friends here recently. After the bartender was finished with one of her (25 minute, possibly longer) smoke break(s), we were able to make order food and drinks at the counter. I asked the regulars if we had offended her & they shrugged and mentioned how she was overwhelmed with the 11-ish total in the bar. Each drink order was countered with a sigh & an eye roll. She seemed to treat the regulars the same as us rookies, so thereās something to be said about that. The good part is that the wings, mini corn dogs, and mozzarella sticks were good, when we finally got them. Drinks were okay. The best bartender can make any room wonderful, while a terrible bartender can turn a great place upside down. Thanks for the glaring hate with each of our orders. The green round table edge had duct tape residue that stuck to my shirt, which is a weird stain...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreso I was there playing pool tabs and then I asked for a go cup for the rest of my drink. They got rude and snippy and said oh no we canāt do that. Thatās illegal. No it is not. Jay Ansley passed a law that says you can get a go cup for your drinks in Washington state as long as you put it in your trunk or away from the driver and with no straw and a top on it they stopped talking to me. They were rude and I actually showed them a google.gov and they said we donāt believe Google. We donāt believe anything thatās on the Internet. We donāt believe any of that Even the customer sitting next to me was super rude. I like the monkey bar, but as soon as I asked them for something that they didnāt know anything about and would not acknowledge it was rude attack so I love you monkey bar, but your...
