Bennidito's Brewpub — Restaurant in Spokane

When we walked in the waitress seemed to be completely annoyed but since she appeared to be the only waitress it was somewhat understandable. Anything we asked or needed felt to be a total inconvenience. As we were finishing our meal a guy comes in to pick up a to-go order, the waitress let’s him know he can’t come in without a mask which it does clearly state on the door. The guy offers to wait outside since he can’t be in without a mask but was told there is no curbside pickup. I don’t know where that conversation went nor is it my experience to tell but a couple seconds later the waitress and the man come past our table and the waitress is raising her voice as they are go back and forth causing a scene. During the transaction the waitress walks away, the cook hands the customer a mask, which he puts on and she comes back accusing him of stealing their property! As if the way she was continuing the back and forth wasn’t unprofessional enough, to accuse a customer of stealing was completely uncalled for! After the guy left the waitress proceeds to another table and has a conversation about the customer, loud enough we are able to hear it at our table. on 6-22-23 at 4 in afternoon i/we a total of 9 went to eat and have a couple beers. we have been going to this place nearly once a week for probably 15 years. food always great and service has been hit and miss. last night we arrived and was greeted by a new server/waitress....good service. however after ordering another round of drinks it seemed as if the waitress (that has been there for years ) was pushing us out the door. they brought the checks to everone and explained the were closing. the time was 6:45. there was no warning, no explanation she just stood there pushing the bill at me several times. i let them know it wasnt even 7 and that i was not going to chug my fresh beer. the more experienced waitress threatened to 86 me. if we didnt leave. i have NEVER experienced this treatment at a restaurant. nothing on the door saying they were closing early, nothing on the tables, they said nothing to the customers about closing early. they just began pushing and became obnoxious about us leaving. wont ever go back while that immature, rude, pushy old waitress is working. not to mention the waitress that was being trained on her 2nd day was very uncomfortable and was apologizing for her coworkers...

This picture is of a “large” salad that is…$25!? The To-Go container is for reference maybe the size of an adult woman hand….WOW!!! I am all about supporting small business but this is a lot of money for a little bit of food, the Antipasto salad is one of my favorites and I treat myself every year for my birthday, which is today, June 16 and it seems the portions keep getting smaller and the price keeps going up. The food is good though just very disappointing for pricing-you could get the ingredients at the store and have a much larger portion for same cost. It looks like it’s time to start a new birthday tradition. I would like to add when I went in to confirm I actually received the “Large” for $25(because it was a pick up order) the waitress just said “yup” and walked away….so service wasn’t great either.
