For a company that caters to businesses they don’t seem to care about their customers. We have had several problems with this location and while the manager is a nice guy, the majority of the associates are either unprofessional or simply don’t care. Staff doesn’t care about your time. I called to find out if they had cameras in stock was told they did. Went in to purchase only to find cardboard tags resembling cameras that you would have to order online. If someone takes time to call your store you should care and be professional enough not to give them misinformation. We purchased 2 copies of Business Microsoft Office in store. They give you a code on the receipt, upon set up neither code worked, this store didn’t help. We spent several hours with tech support only to find out it was ordered wrong twice. Lately I was trying to make purchase of toner for a printer we purchased here. The toner at this store is an exorbitant $146.99, other stores including Walmart have it for $110.99. A manager made us come over to an unprotected register and proceeded to take her face mask off when talking to us. I used the price match policy and showed the manager my phone with the Walmart price. The manager said I have to show her it is in stock today (I have never heard that before). She proceeded to make me show her I could purchase it today. I asked her to look up on her computer (like they have done for my wife in the past) and she was snippy and said she couldn’t do it. Long story short I did get the discount with a lot of attitude. I can’t get anyone from Office Depot to verify the policy even what is printed on their website is totally different from what she said. False Advertising. Office Depot Price Match. If you find a lower price on a new identical item in-store or online at a Competitor or Office Depot at the time of purchase or within 14 days after your purchase, show us the lower price and we will match the price or refund you the difference.
Once I gave this one-star review, they put a comment under my review which I responded to like they asked. There has been no contact back and I have been spam emailed by Office Depot even after I have unsubscribed from future emails. I reached out to Office Depot Corporate to discuss the issues and I can say the new Regional Manager and corporate could care less. Read moreHave been a customer for over 10 years. The last 7 have been on a very regular basis. We have always used the Valley store (never any issues) But THIS location.. uuugh.. long ago, they were tragically horrible... then in more recent history, they had better employees , perhaps a better management team? Their print center has not ever been super knowledgeable.. but at least friendly.. This was NOT the case on the 17th of Sept.. My graphic designer emailed in a small print job (our normal way of communicating for the last 7 years plus) We had one of our staff members go to pick it up the next morning . He was told that emails could only be used in ordering from the print shop if the person was there in house?!! He then called me, And i was put on Speaker phone so the OD print employee could communicate.. Assuming that, perhaps this employee is likely new.. I ask "So then can you just look up the email from yesterday? I was told NO over and over again no matter what solution I offered.. He was unhelpful and rude. I ended up having to resend the email while the person we sent to pick up was standing there. (JUST to appease his rules)
Later that day (totally unknowingly , On one my business partners (from another business) had the exact same issue..
Side note.. Perhaps this is a new rule , or one that this store is attempting to follow more closely. So customers don't just order and then never pick up. But no one needs to be rude.. I have a business account.. So I couldn't do that even...
Read moreI started shopping at this OFFICE DEPOT due to its location. I keep coming back though because of • the atmosphere is not high pressure sales • the staff have extensive knowledge of products they do carry •••• if a staff member does not know the answer, or concerns, they ask for input from other staff •••• I have never had to leave without a complete, trustworthy answer or referral to where to find more information • the prices are competitive ••• maybe the sticker price is not the lowest on the market; the staff knowledge and experience means you get the right item the first time - no extra trips to exchange / add accessories / price matching ••• if the item purchased turns out not to be one you need, exchanges and refunds are available (usually with a receipt or your client #) • store hours and location facilitate shopping there • I have yet to work with a staff person that is not open, willing, and informed (or willing to involve other staff) EVERYONE IS FRIENDLY, INVOLVED, MOTIVATED, and NONE ARE PUSHY OR TRYING TO PUSH ANY ITEMS FOR SALE. If I wrote a motto for this store it would be similar to “We want you to get what you want and to want what you get, and it is our job to make it happen.” kkb...
