I donât know if there are any other donut shops in Spokane, and honestly it doesnât matter to me if there was, I would not go anywhere else!!! I just wish that Casual Friday Doughnuts was open 24/7! I figure that someone(s) is probably there baking at night, so why not sell doughnuts also!!
Casual Friday Doughnuts have the best Doughnuts I have ever had in my entire life. Doesnât matter what time of the day I go, their Doughnuts have always tasted perfectly fresh. They have a huge variety for almost any taste bud requirement. I am always impressed by the interesting variety that they have - like the doughnuts that are chocolate with bacon sprinkles on top (that reminds me, I need to get one of them next time!).
They have Bavarian filled donuts that have just the right amount of cream in them and they are wonderful! I would easily say that they are the best Bavarian filled doughnuts I have ever eaten.
I truly love the Oreo cookie donuts and their chocolate cake with chocolate frosting donuts are absolutely delicious!!! Honestly I have tried probably one of almost everything at some point and I have yet to taste a donut from Casual Friday Doughnuts that was not absolutely worth every penny and delicious!!!
The only issue I have with them is that their prices are pretty high. Being on a limited budget every month keeps us from being able to enjoy their doughnuts very often. My suggestion would be to offer a 1/2 dozen and a 1 dozen discount lower than what they have offered in the past (please!); that is available all of the time.
If I remember correctly, they do offer a significant discount in the late afternoon (but not all chocolate urges can wait until later in the day!!).

Read moreI love a good donut. My experience this morning does not have me raving though. I used the drive-thru. At this time a cake donut was $1.25, Fritter $2.75. To me that seemed high but that's my opinion. Being a donut shop, I was disappointed that they had no buttermilk anything, nor do they often. And though listed, no blueberry fritters, at only 8:30am(!?) Huh. Was told the "apple fritters are great and turned out really good this morning". Ordered one and a blueberry cake donut. And a drip coffee ($2+) to go in my travel mug. So six dollars and change for two donuts and drip coffee. I asked the kind lady for coffee with some "cream and sugar if you have it" and she handed me my over-full cup back with neither. Asked again and she took it back to add some half n' half (good!) and sugar into it. Spilling full now. Unremarkable supermarket tasting coffee. Lots and LOTS of coffee grounds in coffee.
The blueberry cake donut was REALLY REALLY GOOD! Fresh, moist but not doughy, perfect.
The apple fritter was overdone in my opinion. Dark almost to burnt. Slightly sour taste throughout. Dry and even crispy in places. Large size though.
Not one napkin provided.
Overall not a winner.
But the blueberry cake donut was SO GOOD and since this was my only time there and I realize bad days happen to good people and good places, I'm upgrading from the TWO STARS I feel THIS trip warrants, to Three Stars. Especially since I see such varied...
Read moreOn the morning of Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, I experienced Casual Friday Donuts in the Spokane Valley for the first time. I went inside to place my order and was assisted by Audrey who was really nice and helpful. Because the old fashioned donut I purchased was small, she added an additional old fashioned donut to our box at no extra charge. In addition to the old fashioned donut I also picked out a maple bar, chocolate sprinkle (called a âHomerâ in honor of the Simpsons), apple fritter, and a raised donut filled with a peanut butter-type icing. All donuts have their own prices and my order totaled $14.95.
I brought the donuts home and presented them to my wife as it was her birthday. She was really pleased but graciously shared them with me. I tried the raised donut, the apple fritter, and the maple bar. All three donuts were delicious, fresh, and filling. The raised donut was especially filling and the peanut butter icing was a nice touch. Believe it or not, the maple bar was probably my favorite. Overall we were satisfied with Casual Friday Donuts. Of course you are going to pay more than you would at a grocery store bakery but for a special treat every now and then I think that is okay. Our family tradition is to always pick up donuts on the morning of birthdays so we will return to...
