If I could give them zero stars for the food I would. If you like general tsaos chicken then you may want to look at my picture. It is chicken smothered with KETCHUP and soy sauce in place of what is supposed to be generals chicken. The fried rice is white rice covered in soy sauce and never fried and there's nothing else in it and no egg, no vegetables no seasoning and no garlic. The special chow mein was never fried, it looked like it was dumped on my plate from a package and mixed with cold vegetables. Everything was inedible except for the barbecue pork. To be fair I don't think that their food was always like this. I actually think perhaps they hired someone who said they could cook and didn't know how. The fried prawns seeped grease out of them when I broke them in half. Nothing could be eaten. As for the table next to us;, we could overhear them loudly saying the same things. The great thing here and the right thing was that our waitress did not charge us for anything as we did offer to pay for our barbecue pork and our tea that we drank.

Got takeout. Once home, realized the sweet n sour was everywhere. They put it in a paper container with no lid, just flaps folded over. They placed them on their side. It spilled all over the food, bags, our table, floor, and us. Tried calling and all they wanted to do was give us more sweet n sour. They weren't willing to make it right. The food was decent. Got cold while cleaning up their mess. The fried rice is not good. Pork chow mein was okay. The bbq pork was the best part of the meal. Didn't have enough sweet n sour for the pork or chicken. Egg rolls were flavorless. Their general sos is good but very ketchup based. Beyond that, I'd say the whole experience is a 2.5-3 star. With the money we dished out, I expected better. It would be one thing if they were busy but on pickup no one was even there. Definitely won't be going back anytime soon.

Was definitely a heafty meal for one, I really enjoyed the food along with the sauces, it seemed to have a lot of vinegar based sauces they did not taste like the smell so don't be iffy on the sauces they taste amazing! This was the: Combination Dinner 6 - cathay special chow mein, almond fried chicken, fried prawns, bbq pork, fried rice The staff was so far great I only delt with the gentleman with the poofy hair!! Didnt catch his name sadly but he's been there a while! PS. Went there during quarantine, I was only in there for for a couple minutes, very quick service I walked in and ordered! Overall satisfied it was good but I've had better!

I will start by saying I have always loved this place, and have been coming since I was a little kid. This has been a place, for many great memories and life events for myself and family. However I don’t think I will be back for Dine In or Take Out. Back story; We came for a family dinner of 10 ppl in October, for my birthday. The service was terrible, multiple meals were wrong and by the time they had re made them, half the table was done eating. Drinks had not come tell maybe 25 min. prior to us getting the bill, even though they were requested initially when we sat down, and asked for multiple times. When we got the bill and saw the mandatory tip I left our waitress know I was not paying ANY tip. We had 3 separate bills and all 3 had this big tip. ( I will also state I’m the same person who will leave a $50.00 tip when the service and food are good. Fast Forward to last night we came for my mom’s 56th birthday. Called ahead a few days ago, and was told this request I had would be easily accommodated, I needed a separate table then my mom and sister due to my son coming with me and has severe special needs. It was requested when we arrived, upon waiting my mom and sister were discussing the mandatory tip on everyone’s bills when a party of 10 or more is sat down, ( this was a discussion across the board, because MANY dining places do it.) A minor miscommunication came, because I think the servers thought that is why we wanted two tables. ( If that had been the case as well, I don’t see why they wouldn’t sit ppl separately either. You don’t know he circumstances of those coming in and not all could afford that possibly..) LOL ANYWAYS, I politely interrupted the pointless banter about mandatory tips and explained that I would still pay their mandatory tip I didn’t care, but we simply needed two tables by each other due to my son and hi special needs, at this point I got nothing but eye rolls, and bad attitudes from the employees. The manager, was not much nicer.. We all eventually got sat down, and my mom’s table had a server there quickly ready to get drinks and appetizers. We waited about 10 minutes and asked if we could get some drinks and appetizers as well since no one had come over, we were told she would go get our waitress, my son is grunting, and getting frustrated, just part of his delay. At what point “our waitress” refuses to serve our table THE ONLY REASON I CAN THINK OF IS BECAUSE OF MY SON. It’s obvious when we come in that we may be a harder table, ( I usually tip well for that alone LOL). Anyways, my son ended up having 2 minor episodes.. The entire staff did nothing but stare, whisper, and make faces. As if it effected them in any way. The glares, eye rolls, attitude etc was so ridiculous. I think all your employees should take a class on not discriminating against those with special needs, (its literally AGAINST the LAW). Don’t be another negative impact on a child who does NOT deserve it, He did not ask to be the way...

I wanted to take my kids to a nice lunch and for the first time ever at this establishment I was treated extremely poorly. In front of my children. The receipt says the name is Stephanie. Before this visit, we have been dining inn and cathay inn at least twice a month.ive had her several times. When I am with my fiancé I am treated with respect. January 3rd was absolutely astonishing. The orders came out incorrect. I politely pointed it out and asked for the missing items. I was very kind as always. This instantly ruined her mood and her demeanor got nasty. So she ended up bringing out the missing items, and aggressively set them on the table in front of my children. Mind you before this, when i mentioned the mistake i said maybe I am confused can I see the menu again please? Politely!! She slams them on the table then brought thr missing items out to slam down also. Okay I cried. In the restroom and returned to my table to be strong for my kids as I have a life threatening illness that has taken a toll on us. We had to ask another waiter for boxes. Our waiter comes out, aggressively places the bill on the table, no words, and walks away. We got the boxes from the other lady working and i asked her about the bill. She got our waiter. She came over, rolled her eyes and asked what the problem was. I said i uderstand paying for the extra chow mein since that was our error but that i felt we deserved a little discount due to the two mess ups in the kitchen And her service. I waited at the table for 5 min for her to pickup our check so we moved to the front the restaurant to pay so we could leave. Waited a few more minutes and she comes up, no words. Runs my card and walks away. Did we need a bag? She didn't ask. Initially I told the kids she was just having a rough day and she's never like that when dad's around but she continued on being unprofessional. I can't tell you how many times she rolled her eyes at us. When they brought the missing food my daughter quickly said thank you Didn't get a response.

I hope she has better days. We didn't deserve that. The food is always good. Mistakes happen. But that shouldn't happen to...

Very disappointing to say the least! We decided to try a new place unfortunately the first place we went to was closed this Monday. So by the time we got to the Cathy inn it was a little later then desired. We had 40 minutes when we arrived to order and eat. Off the gate we felt rushed as she made it clear that they were closing soon! We felt rushed and as we were an inconvenience. We went ahead and ordered to receive Luke warm soup and tea. After one spoon full of their egg flower soup I declined the family size to go. It being late we where hopefull that thier meal would be better. Not so much! The food was very basic and not what we are used to when going out to a restaurant. The pork fried rice was just plane rice with whatever sause to make it brown. The sweet and sour was pretty bland with no fruit. Thier were no little extra details that add that little extra kick of flavor. No green onions, no pork, no seasme sesame seeds, no egg, carrots or peas. Just very plain and basic! The breading on the meat was oil logged and not very palatable and the again barely warm! We honestly found nothing that made us want to come back! I highly do not recommend! This was a very big disappointment! I don't like to give bad reviews but this qualified for my attention and time so that maybe I can save someone eles from wasting thier time and money. No I did not and will not leave a tip especially since we did not end up dining in feeling like an...
