Walked in today to inquire about a two-tier cake as well as two dozen cupcakes for my wedding end of this year. A sign on top of the cupcake shelf reads $45 a dozen so after doing the math I came to a number that matched advertised pricing… The, who I believe female owner, let me know that unfortunately “since it’s for a wedding” she would be charging more; I kindly let her know I was not interested in her “wedding style” cupcakes, rather just the original cupcakes in front of me for everyday purchase, so she went on to explain “well again, since you told me it’s for a wedding I charge more because that’s how I make my money.” YIKES Shame on these businesses for upselling products due to event type versus actual product sold and time spent on preparation/materials. We hired sweet dreams, bakery to make our wedding cake and wow, what an amazing job she did! Each of the three layers were different different flavor and they were all absolutely fabulous! The design on my cake was exactly what I asked for but our overall experience was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend her 1 million times over thank you so much for making our cake and making it so perfect for our once in lifetime special occasion. Sweet Dreams Bakery is inside Pounders Jewelry. We go out of our way frequently to grab sweets from here. Their German chocolate, coconut and pink champagne cupcakes are the best I’ve had.
