Unnecessary barriers come to mind when rating this new restaurant or perhaps the company always had a specific target audience - young - technology savvy customers with disposable incomes. Definitely geared to the new West Central rather than the older section that’s been there over a hundred years.
The restaurant is only 2 blocks from my house.
Imagine showing up with your 83 year old mother and 10 year old nephew and your 60 something year old self who does own an iPhone.
We sat outside and with help I was able to scan the scan taped to the table. Then I had to read the menu to my hard of hearing mother - off my iPhone - with some difficulty as you might imagine and then there were very few choices for drinks for the child.
We could not pay cash but had to enter a credit card and then was forced to pay an 18 percent amenity - even though the wait staff did absolutely nothing but deliver the crepes. We didn’t even get water.
I ordered my nephew blue tea - but we weren’t offered any sweeteners - he didn’t drink it because it was too bitter.
Then my mother’s coffee never came and we were informed the coffee machine was broken - we were told we would be credited but I have yet to see it.
I ordered a gluten free crepe which cost 2 dollars more (why?) and it was tough. Had to use a knife to cut through it. The regular crepes were also tough I was told.
Overall the food was unimpressive - and very plainly presented - three crepes - coffee - tea for 35 bucks -
The staff was very nice - what little we saw of them - when I asked why we couldn’t see a menu - well COVID of course - so my suggestion is to tape them to the table just like they do with the scan symbol.
They also offered a free crepe for all the trouble about the coffee but we won’t be returning-
I can appreciate trying to open a business after all the hell we’ve all been through and I hope for their sake this was just a bit of a bad start.
But
Perhaps also take into consideration the lay of the land - who else is in your neighborhood? How can you offer...
Read moreCrepe Cafe Sisters is a wonderful chic and rustic restaurant. It was a busy Saturday morning in Kendall Yards, so parking was difficult to find. Street parking is available, we were lucky to find a parking spot fairly close by. It was a short walk to the restaurant. We were welcomed in right as we entered by the gal at the register. When you walk in, there is a menu with the crepe options, both sweet and savory varieties. I tried an apple pie crepe. It was absolutely delicious. The coffee was freshly brewed and hot. They have outside patio seating as well as indoor seating. During the warmer weather they have a large glass jug of water available outside. We did not have to wait too long for our food. It was made fresh when we ordered it, we could actually see them as they weee preparing our crepes. In addition to the fresh brewed coffee, they have my favorite hot tea available, Revival Tea. You can choose hot or iced for the tea. The eclectic table and chairs combo inside gave it a very boho chic , as well as the exposed vents on the ceiling. We will definitely be returning as it was a great...
Read moreI usually get crepes multiple times a week from the kendal yards location and if you get in at the location it is worth it. But, if you go to the night market, it is not... I walked home to open my crepe completely wrong now three times so it's a repeating thing.... its causing me to start going less and less because it's frustrating throwing out 14 plus dollars 3 times.. I would contact them but the websites contact methods don't work.. the email button didn't work and neither did the contact us button... I get the same thing everytime and I know it's not realistic for them to remember me each time because they see people everyday. But it's the fact it's been wrong every time at the night market has turned me off. Nothing makes me happier than crepes but nothing makes me more frustrated then my order wrong.. exspecially when I had a long day and walked through the market and back to my apartment and to open a crepe I can't ea t. It wastes my money, time, and ruined my mood. It's just food and I get that but when you spend money and it's been a rough day and everytime they get it wrong,...
