This particular KFC has always been well managed and had a great staff until lately. The last Sunday we ate at this KFC, before Thanksgiving weekend, it was totally opposite. The food was good and enjoyable. We had to wait to order (we were the only guests in the business). The shift manager finally said that someone would be with us soon. We waited while noticing that there were 3 teenagers doing nothing and another working the window. The music playing was not enjoyable. One teen finally walked up and did graciously take our order. We filled our drinking cups and sat down and waited. Another couple walked in and ordered. The couple called out to us saying that there was a food order on the counter and it must be ours as there was no one else in the restaurant. My husband picked up the order. I returned to the counter to ask for sauce. I waited for some one to approach. One staff member was sweeping and lean her broom against the wall with the dirt on the floor. I finally received 2 sauce. I sat down. My husband went to the counter to ask for a butter packet. He waited. He called out a loud questioning hello to the back. Someone finally assisted him after that staff member broke away from the laughing teen group standing in the back. We finished eating listening to lousy music. Not once did we see anyone wash their hands. The shift manager continued to work although it looked like she was unable to manage the teens and not much older...
Read moreIf it would let me me I would give zero stars we were their last night about 630 for a simple 2 piece fish the girl working the drive thru WAS rude from the beginning then we get to the window and pay the rude girl says pull as far to the right. And wait we will bring out the food ok but their were no cars behind me so I waited at the window and she comes and basically yells at us and says I need you to move I'm being timed again no 1 behind me so why do I need to move their really is no where to really pull to to wait the drive thru girl has the nerve to yell again and I'm done with you really ?? I would have gladly moved had someone came up behind me but with her attitude her shift mgs came over and spoke to me which I told her I used to be a restaurant mgs in my early 20's when their was customer service and respect for their job I told the shift mgs the person should be fired on the spot I would have done so if any employee of mine had treated a customer like this these people now make 11.50 to 12 dollars an hour money equal to some warehouse jobs where people really work if they can't respect the easy job they have then bye your fired I will be contacting the regional person or corporate KFC not for free food as I will never go back to the Y location in spokane Ill drive 20 miles to post falls Idaho if I want chicken or go to...
Read moreI try this location once in one or two years to see if they have improved. And as of 2018 they have not.
Primary complaint? They're spice batter is diluted in my opinion and is the only logical assumption that I can come up with but I do not know why I only know that when I go to the KFC on Sprague Avenue at the corner of Sullivan Avenue the chicken there tastes exactly like I expect KFC to taste.
But when I go to the KFC at Airway Heights the spices and herbs flavor is very difficult to discern, almost as if the batter is being diluted or water down as it were to stretch it out.
I do not know of course but I can only tell you what I experienced and then guess at why consistently over the years that's just the way it's been.
I was thinking that maybe company-owned stores which the Sullivan one is doesn't have to pay for their spices as part of their overhead and that the franchise stores do and so maybe they're adding flour to it but I don't know, like I say, I only know the results and I'll rather drive 20 miles out of my way to get that great flavor then to buy chicken at that high price when I can buy better fried chicken at the supermarket Deli counter that I can get at the Airway Heights KFC and that...
