Avocado Roll Sushi — Restaurant in Spokane

The worst sushi and rolls I’ve ever had. We ordered the Philadelphia and Godzilla rolls — both were a huge disappointment. The presentation was terrible and looked cheap. Worst of all, one of the sushi pieces had a big fish bone in it! The rolls themselves were messy, with uneven cuts and way too much cream cheese. We left hungry and ended up not even finishing our food. Totally not worth the money. I don’t recommend this place at all. You’re better off going downtown to the mall in Spokane — way better quality there.

Just to clarify, the waitress who served us was actually aware of the situation. I showed her the fish bone and mentioned that the sushi pieces were quite messy — large chunks of cream cheese and unevenly cut fish. She said she would let the kitchen know.

I was sitting with my back to the kitchen, but my daughter, who was facing it, noticed that the waitress threw everything away and didn’t seem to speak to anyone. So perhaps the staff in the kitchen were never informed.

She didn’t offer any kind of compensation and didn’t seem too concerned, which was a bit disappointing.

That said, I truly believe this might have just been an off day. Thank you again for your kind response, and I wish you and your team all the best...

We went here today and were very impressed!! THIS IS the place for Sushi and other Japanese fare in North Spokane and vicinity! They have a pretty large menu considering the size of the place. Never despise small beginnings! Because this place is destined for greatness! I can imagine Avocado Roll locations all over the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene area in the future. This place is really THAT good and I am not kidding. The chef/owner knows his stuff and he has a very original style in his craft. Not to mention his experience in years of cooking this style. Also the manager, Britney is AMAZING in her knowledge of the cuisine and her people skills are noteworthy. She is just a very polite and professional person who is an asset to the business community of Spokane. People like her make this a better city to live in.

Look no further for the BEST Sushi and Japanese food in North Spokane! - Or in the whole vicinity really. Even Coeur d'Alene would be better off with one of these places down the street. We got the California Rolls (THE BEST), Las Vegas Rolls and Avocado Rolls. I'm sure we'll end up trying everything they offer in time. But these were all 3 very...

Tried to go here tonight, all tables were full and nobody waiting ahead of us. Waitress walks up and says "we don't have space". Wow. Ok. No suggested wait time, nothing, just "we don't have space" and turns around. Hilariously terrible customer service.

Their response below is not accurate. We walked in and stood at the entrance for like 2 minutes, and the lady walked over and simply said "they don't have space" and walked away. Nothing was urgent with a customer... If it was, she wouldn't have walked over to tell us they didn't have space, she would have handled the "urgent" issue first. Their response illustrates their level of customer service. Plus, she literally watched as walk out without saying another word. "She couldn't understand why we left so abruptly"....really? She literally said "we don't have space" and walked away back to the bar. What did she expect us to do, sit and wait, when she walked away without giving us an approximate wait time. Her saying we don't have space means we can't help you, leave....
