Britton Coffee Co - York — Restaurant in Spring Garden Township

I really enjoy going here versus the big corporations like Starbucks and Dunkin. One, I love to support small businesses (as everyone should) it’s hard to maintain and stay open. Two, every time I have been here I’ve been pretty satisfied with the drinks. I order something different everytime I go (Just to try it) I will say it’s a lot easier to order here versus Dunkin or Starbucks. They have plenty of flavors and drinks to choose from. Which was awesome because Starbucks and Dunkin don’t even have some of the flavors they offer. The only thing I “disliked” were the doughnuts. But I’m also not a huge doughnut fan and I went later in the day..so that might have been my own fault. Don’t let me stop you from trying the doughnuts! I absolutely love the atmosphere, there’s places to sit, outside seating, even a play area for kids (I don’t have any…but i see kids play and their moms get a little break, so it’s nice to see). Lastly, the staff have been so kind and polite. My dad got a drink and didn’t like it. However; he didn’t like it and he showed it on his face. The one barista saw his face….instead of being rude and saying he ordered the drink he has to drink it or not saying anything at all. The one barista (who noticed) asked him what flavors and stuff he likes (not a huge coffee person, he likes his flavor shots and stuff). She went out of her way to make him ANOTHER drink that she thought he would like (He in fact loved it and wrote the recipe down). They were very busy at the time and it just meant a lot for her to take the time to notice & re-make a drink for him. Thanks for opening up this place here in York! It’s been a great experience, place to hang out, and everyone is very friendly. 11/10...

I never leave reviews, but this made me purely uncomfortable. I have let it sit on my mind for two weeks and it still bothers me, and I actually haven’t been back. I would stop in 3-4 times a week before this occurrence I was there on September 14th, one of the young ladies was filming or live posting or something, it was very obvious… I am not one to like social media, or like to be posted. If she would have had it positioned the other way so you could not see customers it would have been one thing, but she didn’t So I was quick to order and leave. Thankfully my kids (minors) were not with me at this time. I know it’s a public place and that it can happen, and it can happen anywhere. It just makes me extremely uncomfortable, to walk into a building and knowing I’m on social media without my permission, I am old and maybe that’s why. Coffee was always wonderful and atmosphere was great before...

Had to edit my 5 star review BECAUSE: I have a very intense allergy to cinnamon. Its incredibly annoying because fall is my favorite season and, as you can image, it is VERY difficult for me to find fun Autumnal things that I can actually have. Until today. Went to Brittons with my best friend for a coffee telling myself I'm fine with my regular latte while she gets a pumpkin spice. She then tells me she read on Facebook that they have a pumpkin spice syrup with no cinnamon because some people dont like the flavor. The girl at the front triple checked for me and you guys....I had a pumpkin spice latte with no cinnamon today ( I believe it used nutmeg instead). Im not going to lie I almost cried.
