Nestled conveniently across from the hospital, The Copper Crust is a fast-casual gem in York, PA, where you can indulge in a variety of dishes from pizza to pastries.
Upon entering, the inviting atmosphere combined with the charming decor made it clear that this place was not just about the food but also about the experience. The ordering process is simple: you place your order at the counter and are given a number card to wait for your meal. This efficient setup is perfect for the bustling lunchtime crowd, especially with many patrons opting for carry-out.
We kicked off our meal with The German pizza, a heavenly creation featuring crĂšme fraĂźche, roasted garlic, red onion, and house-made bacon. The combination of flavors was fantastic, with the roasted garlic adding depth to the dish and the crispy bacon providing a satisfying crunch.
Next up was The Frenchy smash burger, a standout on their menu. Topped with sautéed mushrooms, brie cheese, and red onion marmalade, drizzled with rosemary aioli, it was a gourmet twist on a classic. The richness of the brie paired nicely with the sweet and savory elements of the marmalade, making this burger one to remember. It was juicy and flavorful, definitely a must have.
To round out our meal, we shared a slice of ham and gouda quiche, which was equally impressive. The flaky crust cradled a savory filling that balanced the smoky ham and creamy gouda just right. It was hearty yet light enough to leave room for dessert.
For dessert, we opted for their crumbly coffee cake. With its perfect balance of sweetness and a delightful crumbly texture, it was the ideal ending to our meal. Paired with a hot cup of coffee, it was hard to resist going back for another slice.
Overall, The Copper Crust exceeded our expectations with its diverse menu and high-quality offerings. Whether youâre stopping by for a quick bite or planning a leisurely lunch, this spot is a must-visit in York. With friendly service and a cozy atmosphere, itâs easy to see why they have a steady stream of customers, both in-house and for takeout. We canât wait to return and try more of their...
Read moreIf I could give no stars I would. I have been going to the Copper Crust since moving to Pennsylvania. I have never had an issue with their food or their service until recently. My daughter and I ordered to-go. She got a Turkey Brie hoagie, the roll was ROCK HARD. No way they didn't know that roll was stale. There was half of the turkey and Brie that they are normally was and the sandwich was completely inedible. I ordered a purist Burger and the burger was cooked to death. I paid extra for tater tots that were completely overcooked all the way through. We weren't able to eat either meal. I called the restaurant and was told the person I needed to speak with wasn't there because they were getting ready to close. At this point I would have been fine with a replacement burger and hoagie but I left my name and number and never heard back from anyone. After a week I realized I hadn't heard from anybody and called again and was told once again the person I needed to speak with wasn't there. Once again I left my name and number and to date have not gotten a call. The second time I left my information I told them I wanted a refund and they have done NOTHING. Seriously disappointed in Copper Crust. I'm assuming it has new owners? New management? Just another restaurant I will add to my "no" list because of poor service and food they don't...
Read moreWe went there for dinner as a group of 6. When we got up to the front to order, the guy behind the counter said we couldn't order pizza. He said something was going on with the printer? Then the guy making pizzas came up and said they were behind so they can only handle a few more pizzas. He asked if a 30 minute wait was ok, and of course that's fine that's what you expect to wait. Just felt like they were really confused back there which had me nervous with this being my first time there.
The tables were not bussed, it didn't feel super busy to me and I've worked in pizza places so I do understand what busy is for a pizza guy seeing as I made pizzas for a decade of my life almost. This was of course a turn off because we couldn't really sit down to wait for our food.
Once they finally bussed the tables we got to sit and our food came out right on time. It was actually delicious I highly suggest The German!!! We had that the margarita and the meaty lover I think it was called. All great pizza!! The good was excellent but the rest of the experience was ok at best.
We didn't eat any dessert but it did look delicious as well. I took a video of the display for everyone so you can see what kind of...
