Our server, Kayla, in a word... FANTASTIC!
The food was exactly at our expectation for Waffle House... TASTY!
The atmosphere... RUINED! A troll that should not be anywhere near the service industry Amber can be thanked for that. She is a server who has evidently grown to see herself as some kind of manager.
We were not greeted by anyone when we entered. It was busy but I've seen many busier eateries. There were two other groups ahead of us. After arriving, we quickly saw a family leave, and their table get cleaned off. No one from WH advised the next guest that the table was ready. I leaned forward in the row of chairs that were along the front window where we were waiting. I said, "There's a table available. Are one of you all next to be seated?" A gentleman nodded at me. He and his family walked over and took the empty booth.
Soon, the scenario was repeated for the next group. They took a booth as well.
No one at WH greeted either of the two parties who came in after us.
When the next party left their table, my sister, her boyfriend and myself started walking over to that table. No one from WH was even looking at us, so we sat down at the table.
It was then that we were finally noticed by 'Amber the Terrible'. "You all will have to get up and move back to your chairs and wait for her to wipe off that table," she scowled.
It was just then that our server, Kayla approached and started busing our table. The three of us looked at Amber briefly and shook our heads in disbelief. My sister spoke up. "Who does she think she is, the teacher? Ordering us around?"
What a strange situation this was. I've been all over the country and eaten at many Waffle Houses. I can't recall ever entering one without being greeted by someone behind the counter. And I certainly have never been scowled at and scolded by a server. Kayla cleared and wiped down the table very easily with us sitting there.
Kayla was very efficient, courteous and professional. We enjoyed our meal and tipped her $20 cash.
It is worth mentioning that Amber, in her infinite wisdom, had scolded a younger male guest. She made him leave the counter, go sit back down in the waiting area until the counter was wiped down. I don't recall her letting him know when he could sit back down at the counter either.
It would serve Waffle House greatly if they would have the manager take the time to explain to Amber who the guest is and what her role as a member of the service industry is.
I'm sure some would question my perspective. But understand this, it is always a good practice to greet new arrivals at your establishment. It is a very poor business that fosters rude treatment of its patrons. A bit of kindness...
Read moreI absolutely love the Waffle House in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Every time I walk in, I’m greeted with a warm, familiar atmosphere that instantly puts me at ease. It’s always clean, and the food is consistent—exactly what I expect when I’m craving a good, classic diner meal. Whether I'm there for a quick breakfast or a late-night bite, the service is always efficient and friendly, which makes the experience even better. I'm always excited when that one girl walks in the door, I can't remember her name tho, I think it starts with a J or a K, can't remember. She absolutely slayyed though!
One of the things I really appreciate about this Waffle House is the staff. They’re not just fast and professional—they're genuinely kind. I brought my grandkids with me once, and they started singing along to a song playing in the background. To my surprise, the cook joined in, and it turned into this spontaneous little moment that we all laughed about. It's those small, personal touches that make this place feel like more than just a restaurant. I was so hyped to enjoy this song, but the server judged me for putting salt on my waffles and she gave me a weird look.
Of course, the food never disappoints. I usually go for the All-Star Special—it’s the perfect combo of everything I love: eggs, toast, hashbrowns, and a waffle that’s just the right kind of crispy. No matter what time of day or night I come in, the quality is always spot on. There’s something comforting about knowing exactly what I’m going to get and having it hit the spot every single time. The food was like totally better than anything like everrrr! It totally hit the spot 🤤
Being open 24/7 is another huge plus. There have been plenty of late nights or early mornings where nothing else is open, and I know I can count on this Waffle House. It’s become my go-to place for comfort food and a friendly face, and I honestly can’t recommend it enough if you’re ever passing through Spring Hill. Btw that one person who's name starts with A is kinda incompetent ngl -_- but not even sure if they work there in the...
Read moreAfter seeing the movie Sinners a colleague and I decided to get breakfast. It’s late and the only place to eat was here. Before parking we noticed teens outside horsing around but they were leaving so we figured it was ok. We walked inside and no one greeted us, everyone was deep in conversation with each other and a couple of other customers who were all teens. We seated ourselves and 10 minutes later no one said a word to us. One of the employees was talking about hair color with a few of the customers while another kept walking back and forth doing nothing. I was finally fed up and stopped the cook to let him know that we’re ready to order all while these teens started horsing around inside the restaurant and the employees were all laughing. The cook told one of the “young ladies” that I was ready and they all turned to look at us mumbling something under their breath. My only reason for staying was because my colleague was excited to be out eating and I didn’t want to disappoint him. Someone finally came to take our order while there’s playing going on in the restaurant. That’s really not good for business but it seems as though all the kids knew each other and this was...
