I visited yesterday with my daughter and a friend and have been enjoying coming here regularly for over 2 years. We love to visit during lunch and dinner but sadly we will be avoiding future lunch visits. It was insanely crowded when we arrived but we were lucky to get a table when we walked in. We quickly ordered and everything was going great. We asked for 2 waters, 1 child's lemonade, Pad Thai, glass noodles and I had a hot and sour soup. Myself and my friend received the small spring rolls but none for my daughter even though I ordered the full pad Thai plate. She was disappointed as she usually gets her own. The noodles came quickly but my soup took forever. No problem i wasn't planning to eat it all in 1 sitting anyway. Then my daughter ran out of lemonade and asked for a refill, not only were we told no refills on lemonade, I couldn't buy a second glass for her either. I had to fill her cup with my water then wait for my refill. As the meal continued and customers were lining up to pay the woman who runs the register rudely told a customer "you shouldn't come when we are so busy" thought he was a friend or something but he turned and respond "excuse me then I won't come when your not crowded either" it was horribly awkward.
We look forward to coming for dinner, the food is very delicious and hope things improve for them later on. I recommend hiring a 2nd server during lunch time and a second person to run...
Read moreIdk why this place has such good reviews. My parents are refugees from Laos and Thailand, so all I ate growing up was Thai and Lao food. I know what good Thai and Lao food looks and tastes like, and this ain’t it. I ordered Thai spicy drunken noodle and it came out terrible. Extremely BLAND, cheap quality produce, and so not spicy that I could feed it to my 1 year old daughter. My Laotian wife decided to throw the food we ordered, into pot, added soy sauce, oyster sauce, and dry pepper to make it have any kind of taste, since she actually knows how to cook authentic Thai and Lao food. But the point of us ordering food, is to not cook. I mean just look at the picture of the drunken noodle I got. I should have taken a look at it before I left. I mean I’m not the Karen type to demand for a refund but I would ask them to look at it and ask if they think it looked good. I’m not even the type to post reviews, but when it’s this bad, I have to get the word out there for other people. Where’s the Thai basil in the dish? I found maybe half a basil leaf. Either they’re skimping on the ingredients to save money, or they have a terrible recipe. Extremely disappointed.
To the people who think this place is delicious, I hope one day you will taste real Thai food, it would blow your mind.
Would never try this...
Read moreI visited “Sawaddee” Thai restaurant for dinner tonight and the food was delicious. Their menu is strictly Thai cuisine and the atmosphere feels like an older home and inviting. I ordered a Thai Tea and water to start, fried Shrimp Rolls for appetizers, and the Chicken Pad Thai noodles. Everything came out fast, cooked to perfection, and the portion size was bigger than usual. The servers were very attentive and checked on us frequently. My wife ordered a Thai Tea and water as well, and ordered the Pad Preow Whan “Sweet and Sour Sauce” Chicken. Her meal was delicious and I finished it off since the spices were just right. There were seats for about 30 patrons but around 13 people total were there on a Monday evening. We could easily hold a conversation since the noise levels were pretty low. We paid a little over $50 for the bill and had leftovers for tomorrow. Overall the food was delicious and the service was great for a small “Thai” restaurant near a military...
