During the past few months, I've been on an Indian food kick. I conducted my routine Google search to find a restaurant that I never got to experience yet, and stumbled across this one. As with any other restaurants, I read several reviews and looked at their online menu to see if it's worth driving the distance to try it out (I live in the far Northwest part of Las Vegas) - needless to say, it won my interest. So on 1 Dec 2023, my wife and I decided to try this restaurant for dinner.
When we walked in, I was a little confused because there was a host/hostess counter right inside the front door but no one was standing there. However, there was a sign posted directing customers to head towards the bar area to get seated. Regardless, as soon as we walked around the corner and towards the bar, one of the employees acknowledged our presence and immediately offered us to choose our own table. The restaurant wasn't busy at all so we basically had free reign to choose whatever table we wanted, which was comforting.
Our server brought us water right away which was a good start to showcasing their customer service. Yes, I've been to many restaurants where you'd sit at your table for 15+ minutes before anyone brings water or asks what you want to drink. Also, I enjoyed how this restaurant left an entire water pitcher on our table because I drink a lot of water, so this was perfect for me. And unless the employees are consistently walking around filling water glasses, I hate having to frequently ask for water. Furthermore, their water pitcher happens to be one of the coolest pitchers I've ever seen at a restaurant (see photo attached to this review).
As far as our meal, we ordered the Samosa Teen Tarike Se to start; the Chili Garlic Naan, Kuchumber Salad, Paneer Saag Curry (spice level 2), and Lamb Rogan Josh Curry (spice level 5) for our main course. Everything was cooked to perfection with respect to texture, heat/spice level, and flavor. The Chili Garlic Naan was out of this world...we normally would order garlic naan at any Indian restaurant; however, the moment this menu item caught our attention, we had to try it. The balance of flavor and spice was magnificent! The one dish that was mediocre was the Samosa (appetizer). I'm not certain if I may have read it wrong but I thought we were supposed to get three different flavors to try. When we received our order, two of the pastries were the same (green peas), and the third one was paneer and corn, I believe. Needless to say, we didn't get to try the potato Samosa. And we didn't realize it until it was too late and by the time we realized it, our main course was arriving at our table. But guess what? I didn't lose sleep over it either.
As I alluded to earlier, the customer service here was great; the employees were very friendly, professional, and attentive. The restaurant lighting and décor were superb and the price-to-quantity/quality ratio was phenomenal. I respect how this business supports the men and women of the Armed Forces to include its Veterans - this is very appreciative! If you've never tried this place before, then what are you waiting for? I highly recommend this restaurant...

I googled "here" (best Indian close to where I was shopping) and after arriving realized I'd been here before. Here's my review from today: Stepping into Curry Leaf is like teleporting straight to the neighborhood streets of India. This unassuming corner restaurant offers a much-needed respite from the neon lights & a constant hum of Vegas. The ambiance is relaxed & inviting, allowing you to unwind and savor your meal without feeling rushed.
While the atmosphere is undeniably charming, the service could benefit from a touch more attention. It’s a minor quibble, however, as the food more than makes up for it. I opted for the lunch special: Chicken Sagg with a spice level of 7. Let me tell you, they didn't hold back! The dish arrived piping hot, filled with tender chunks of chicken immersed in a rich, flavorful spinach puree. The balance of spices was perfect, creating a tantalizing warmth without overpowering the delicate flavors. The accompanying garlic naan was the ideal complement, soft, buttery, & garlicky.
My meal was so exceptional that I couldn't resist taking home some Bullet Naan w/ a side of Raita. I’m already looking forward to enjoying it later.
AND ON TOP OF IT ALL: TThey are sO reasonably priced.
C.L. is a hidden gem serving up authentic Indian cuisine in a laid-back setting. While the service could use a slight polish, the delicious food makes it a must-visit for anyone seeking a flavorful escape from the...
Read moreI believe in forming my opinions about a restaurant based on my personal experiences, and I hope sharing mine can help set expectations for others considering this place. I've been here twice.
The first time, I had a great experience. A woman took my takeout order, and she was very pleasant and welcoming. The food itself is excellent—tasty and flavorful. Even my mother, who isn’t a fan of Indian food, enjoyed their tikka masala.
Because of this positive experience, I decided to order again last night (12/28/24). I placed my order online for pickup. However, my experience this time was quite different. When I arrived, there was a man behind the bar who “helped” me, but it felt like he was doing the bare minimum. He asked for my name without ever looking at me, didn’t greet me when I walked in, and simply handed me the receipt to sign before giving me my food and walking away. There was no thank you or any kind of friendliness, which left a bad impression and was very unsettling.
I’ve always wondered why this place is so empty despite their food being good. Based on my experience, it seems the level of service varies significantly, and that might explain the lack of customers. While I appreciate the quality of the food, the inconsistency in staff interactions makes me...
