It is a delight to have choices that are Celiac friendly. They really try make a gluten free home for us to eat safely
Any of the Benedicts are incredible! I think I made it through the entire list so far. Can’t tell you which one was my favorite. I just wish the hollandaise sauce that they had had a little lemon juice to bring up the brightness. The original potato cakes have been replaced with the thicker one is just too many carbs for me, so I’ll get one on the side hand it to a friend. I’m not going to criticize them for giving you too much food. But it could be a little crunchier seems just a little undercooked and you know how everyone loves that crunchy potato? The cooked veggies on the side is a great option if you can’t eat their salads and you don’t want any more carbs. They do a lovely job of that. Coffee could have a bit more of a kick as unfortunately I have to drink decaf and hardly anybody makes a strong decaf-But the coffee drinkers you have to drink decaf now do you like flavor so poor it on hard! They nicely serve it with half-and-half too
Great friendly staff! Shining new still. Great vib. Just me but 1960 music seems called for too. Gorgeous interiors I can’t get tired of them I love the cushy booth, Bright tall clear windows, jubilant and menus well written with strong snappy graphic design.
Being from LA it’s nice to go to a place that feels like home in orange county. Honestly it feels like The Parasols, Ships, or Hollies’ is on Hawthorne Boulevard without the...
Read moreReally cool vibes at this place. They have many unique options on the menu that make it hard to choose from. Service was excellent, no complaints there . I had the queen maggie. Which is "stuffed" French toast. Anytime I see this on menus I always order it and I was highly disappointed. So much so that I read all the yelp reviews on it. It is sliced cream cheese. Which I've never seen before. Not fluffy or whipped or soft. It didn't seem very stuffed but more so like an undercooked grilled cheese. To make an accurate comparison it was like slices of French toast with thick mozzarella slices in the middle. I've never had stuffed French toast with unmelted cream cheese, so that was a first. And not very tasteful. So I switched with my boyfriend who ordered Colins bossburger. I didn't like it at first because all burgers are cooked medium well, and we agreed but should have asked for medium. The patty itself was dry and had no flavor. After getting halfway through I remembered that it was supposed to come with sauce, so I reminded our server and she brought us a side of burger sauce. This definitely made the burger. It added flavor and moisture and just made everything taste better. We upgraded our fries to garlic fries and they were delicious! Definitely have a prominent garlic flavor. Overall, not sure if I'll be back. But the portions were very big so it made my Groupon...
Read moreLong overdue update to my original review (which was 4 stars and no comments) . The TL;DR version: awesome staff, yummy food - GO!
The wordier version: We've been coming to this location for about a year and after the first good (but not great) experience, the team at Squeeze In has gotten better and better. The food is consistently tasty, the service is always friendly and fun. The whole team is always on the ball and super nice, but Talia is our absolute favorite! She is attentive, accommodating, and every other positive accolade you want when you're enjoying a meal out. She makes our breakfast visits extra enjoyable. Andrew has been nothing less than fantastic as well and it's obvious they're both not only great at their jobs but enjoy doing it too. This location is always busy but efficient service makes the wait times manageable.
My all time favorite Zweifel is an unusual combination of flavors, no doubt, but it is AH-mazing - apples and bananas and bacon sautéed in butter and honey, then served in an omelette with peanut butter. It's a once-in-a-while option, but well worth it every time. My usual option is the multigrain blueberry pancakes (which end up being breakfast, lunch and a snack! The short stack is still massive!) The tomato pesto sauce is also incredible (and if they sold it standalone, I'd buy it...
