I go to Pinkbox not because they’re good, but because they’re close. Pinkbox doughnuts are almost never fresh, but today made me question the quality of the product. They had a donut with strawberries and whipped cream on the inside of them. Being that it was 7pm and the donut cases were full, I asked how long those had been out. I kid you not, the young lady looked at me and said “All day” … So, you mean to tell me that you’ve left strawberries out all day, unrefrigerated, and intend to serve them? I go on to order the banana pudding donut. It had a vanilla wafer, a little pudding, and whipped cream on it. In all my years, I’ve never had hard whipped cream. I’m convinced nothing is good from this place. It’s cute though, they do good designing the donuts— and I think that’s where the hype comes from, cause this mess ain’t it.
Update: Update from 3 stars to 1 star. Called Alex like he asked. Not once did he apologize for MY experience. He spent most of the call defending the business and trying to get me to understand how Dunkin’ Donuts freezes their donuts and Pinkbox doesn’t. Sure, you don’t freeze em. You just give em away stale. Same comment was left here a few months ago. He continued to tell me how my opinion was wrong and Pinkbox reviews speak for itself. If they spoke for themselves, you wouldn’t have your panties in a bunch over the experience I had at this donut shop. The finest ingredients he speaks of must’ve came straight from restaurant depot, because my Maltese can make better donuts using ingredients from the dollar tree. He even tried to hit me with the “This is a free country” line when expressing his opinion about my opinion, to which I had to remind him that he seems to have forgotten that point when he implied in his initial response that my opinion was a contradiction to what they serve.
I’d like to see you actually in the W Tropicana location before acting like you are positive of the day to day operations. Your shit is stale. I ordered 2 donuts and could only eat one bite of one. If you want, I can bring this stale shit back to you and you can eat it, since you’re so proud of...
Read moreUsed to pick up from this place every time i had a hair appointment at the location on eastern or going near this location for something else. I was warned by someone who knows the owners about the problems with the company and told to go elsewhere but i like to make my own decisions and having never experienced anything except the occasional clerk with maybe not the best atttitude ive given it plenty of chances. I hadnt ordered in some time due to everything going on in the world but upon trying to order today for holiday doughnuts tomorrow i noticed they had changed their submission time from 3pm to 1pm. It was 12:50. I rushed to type up my short 8 item order and kept trying to submit but the server wasnt allowing it to go through. The order finally sent through at 1:01pm. I quickly get a response back at 1:03 from their "customer service team" that actually shocked me and was the most cold dry unapologetic response ive ever received. Im sure rhey get plenty of customers ordering hours after cutoff and disregarding policy but i was trying to get this in ON TIME had it not been for server problems. They pointed out in a way which comes off quite rudely every single location of their policy of 1pm on their website (very bizarre) followed by "with that, we will not be able to have your order ready for you tomorow." I was shocked not by the inability to complete the order even though its dissapointing but by the tone of the email. I sent a response saying MY apologies i had trouble with your web server and this is the first time i have ordered in advance since time change of order placement. I was kind of hoping nobody would be splitting hairs over a site isuse of one minute for a very small order when someone was available and responded immediately but nope, simply got another cold response again. These repsonses are why i will never be patronizing this business again and all my family and friends will be directed elsewhere. This was shocking. Apparently my direvtionnof company attitude was correct. My business here is done, there are plenty of othet quality bakeries and doughnut shops...
Read moreLove their donuts...they came to my sons school & when my son came home from school, he told me about it, so o thought I would try it. They are a little pricey, but they are by far the best homemade donut in this town! But I was disappointed.... Around August 9th, 2 weeks ago I noticed a Pinkbox donuts coming soon on Tropicana/ft Apache ...they said sometime in August or late August . So last weekend on the 17th, I decided to call to see if they had opened yet, & the recording tells you the hours & location of the Tropicana store, so I assumed that meant they were open now. I couldn’t wait, cause it’s been a minute since I’ve had their donuts, cause the lake mead store is a little drive coming from south Summerlin , & my mouth was watering for their delicious , soft pillowy donuts, so I drive down to the trop store only to find a note on the door that says “Closed for Renovations “! Why couldn’t you say on your recording that the trop store hasn’t opened yet so people like me don’t waste their time & gas going because you failed to inform everyone of your opening date ?? So I went home disappointed cause my heart was set on your donuts & now wondered when the open date would be . I just now got on your website & say that trop is now opened...YEAH!! Now my only wish is that you don’t run out of donuts like you used to when you were inside Freddy’s car wash on Durango ! They were usually sold out by 10 am...this is what the problem is when you don’t make the donuts there, & that’s why you only got 3 stars from me! Nobody likes going to a business & hearing that your sold out for the day! And my answer to that is...”MAKE MORE DONUTS”! You are a donut shop right ?? How do you make money if your “sold out”? That’s just bad business to me...other than that, your donuts get 10 stars! And lower your prices just a bit...
