We had a party of four adults & two kids and were looking forward to try this place out and right of the bat, it was a little warm inside then ordered a cocktail that did not come for 15 minutes so I cancel that drink, then the ladies ordered the Aguachile Shrimp order of 12, which on the menu states $13.95 but they claimed it was $17.95 so we agreed and the waiter left. After about 25 minutes the waiter came out to say that the order is not $17.95 so we asked how much it was now and he said I'll have to check, at that time the other orders arrived and after 5 minutes he came back to say it was $23.95 so we cancelled both orders. As my nephew and I ate and sharing our food the bill finally came after asking for it when we started eating. The bill showed that my dish was $47.95 after the waiter told me that it would be $38.95. Needles to say we will never be going back... While my dish was okay in taste and temp my nephews was cold...
Post Script In reference to your response about me being rude right of the bat, I was the one who suggested we try this place out and was exited due to the reviews... For the comment about the Aguachile not being on the menu, the picture I posted is from the menu on your website... As for the cocktail I requested, I asked politely if you could make an Old Fashioned and if not that's okay then your server stated "I will go check", which he did quite often... For clarifying before anything went to the kitchen, some of our tables food started arriving about one minute after your server came to give us the bad news as he put it about how the Aguachile that he gave us the price on was not correct, then as I stated before, we asked well then how much is it and again he had to go check... Trying to create something special for me, I asked about the market price on the snapper which is on your menu, then again the server had to go check then he came back to state it was $38. so I ordered it then you tried to charge me $47... Canceling the cocktail order, I cancelled the order after about 25 minutes of drinking water... Speaking to your mom, I agree she was kind and on top of that, she seemed to be the only one that knew what was going on and I appreciate it her coming to explain about the fish which is information that the serving staff should know, so I thanked her very much for that and I hope she reads these comments... Ordering 4 bowls of salsa, your server brought 2 bowls of salsa along with two bowls of chips, the salsa was tasty but the bowl you are calling were small ramekins with very little salsa and my wife ordered an extra since she how to cancel her order of Aguachile because it was already too late, the other ramekin of salsa was ordered from my niece who had the same thing happen... Needless to say we will never be going back and especially now with all the lies on this post from...

Walked into Chubbyâs Seafood and left in a full-blown food coma â no regrets. The service? So friendly I thought they were trying to adopt me. Our server had jokes, refilled drinks like a ninja, and somehow made me feel like I was eating at my grandmaâs house if grandma had a seafood obsession and a commercial kitchen.
Now letâs talk food. The calamari came out looking like it was training for the heavyweight championship â thick, golden, and crispy like it just got promoted to the next level of delicious. One bite and I heard angels. The fish tacos? Straight-up flavor bombs â so good I briefly considered proposing. And those baked oysters? Whew! Hot, buttery, and so good I nearly licked the shell (and my wife nearly filed for divorce when I did).
This ainât your average seafood joint â Chubbyâs is where you go when your stomach wants to party and your soul needs comforting. Iâm already planning my next trip, probably in some Nacho Libre...
Read moreWe found this spot while driving around the Spring area, and Iâm so glad we did. Itâs a family-owned local business, and you can really feel the care they put into everything. The service was greatâour waiter, Enrique, was super friendly and even told us his mom and family own the place, which made the experience even better.
We started with chips and salsa, and the sauce was excellentâfresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of kick. For our meal, we ordered the fajita plate, green enchiladas, fried shrimp, and rice, and everything was really well-seasoned and cooked just right. The fajitas were tender, the enchiladas had great flavor, and even the fried shrimp (which I donât usually go for) were fresh and crispy. The menu has a little bit of everything, so even if youâre not big on seafood, youâll still find something good.
Itâs always nice to support small businesses, especially when theyâre this good. Weâll definitely be back for the grand openingâhighly recommend...
