For context, I normally rate anything that I view as good service and good food right at 3 stars. I really dislike having to rate everything at a 5 when it meets the standard and really prohibits me from being able to reward excellent service with an excellent review. I also generally try to avoid rating places I've only been to once since the reviews always feel compromised; if you had one good or bad experience you may not know that consistency is an issue.
I've eaten at Bamburger a few times now, and I have to say, I really enjoy the service at the restaurant and the food really is excellent. My family normally defaults to restaurants like Freddie's for the smashburger experience, but Bamburger really is a cut above in a couple of areas: The fries are excellent; they're cooked in beef tallow which, in my humble opinion, is in every way superior to vegetable oils. The burgers are excellent. I haven't had anything other than a freshly grilled and well-seasoned burger. I've found the smashed bacon patty is excellent as well. I've tried every variation of the bamburger and like all of them. I'm not as much a fan of the chicken (nor the vegan patty), but in their own right they're perfectly fine. My personal favorite is the spicy because I like the sauce and jalapenos. The owners have come up to me multiple times and asked me how I like the food or if the experience is meeting my expectations. Mine are always met but it's nice to be asked. The restaurant is well cleaned and has an open, airy feel. I have no issues with decor/atmosphere though the interior is a bit loud because of the high ceiling. Music is kept to a reasonable volume. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly. All-in-all, a fine experience.
Minor irritations: The water cup is just a small cup. I would recommend either providing some larger cups or a different container to make it less irritating. All food orders are done via screens at the front of the restaurant. Generally this is fine, but it does remove the personal element of 'being served' that restaurants like Chick-Fil-A do well and leaves people with the impression they've been taken care of. It is a touch expensive, but at reasonable parity with other, similar restaurants.
As such, when we crave burgers we usually come here.
I really don't understand why these folks have not gotten more business. I've certainly done my fair share of recommending them to nearly everyone who seems interested in burgers. I know competing in the Houston food service business is tough, so I'm hoping these guys...
Read moreAs a local business ourselves, we know the value of quality, consistency, and excellent service — and BamBurger on 2920 in Spring checks every one of those boxes. Our team recently stopped in for lunch and tried their signature Bam Burger, and it was nothing short of incredible.
The burger was stacked with flavor — perfectly cooked beef, fresh toppings, and a toasted bun that held everything together without falling apart. You can tell this isn’t your average fast-food stop; it’s made with care, and every bite backs that up. It’s the kind of burger that reminds you why supporting local matters.
Beyond the food, the experience was just as impressive. The staff was welcoming, quick to help, and had the kind of energy that makes you want to come back. As a business that serves the Spring area with pride, it’s refreshing to see others in the community doing the same — delivering a product they stand behind and creating a great customer experience in the process.
The restaurant itself was clean, inviting, and perfect for a quick lunch or casual dinner. Whether you’re a resident, a small business owner, or just driving through, BamBurger is the kind of place that makes Spring feel like home.
From one local business to another — keep doing what you’re doing. We’ll be back soon (and bringing friends with us).

Read moreOn the eve of Houston's giant snowstorm, my wife called me on my way home from the office that she wanted a burger for dinner. I checked Google maps and saw a new burger place had opened on FM2920, Bamburger, and decided to try it.
One word describes my burger: Wow.
Bamburger is a simple restaurant with a limited menu that focuses on smash burgers. No more, no less. And they do it really, really well.
The meat is cooked perfectly and has a great beefy flavor and isn't greasy. They said that they did a lot of test tasting to find the perfect meat blend and I believe that they were successful. It is a blend of chuck, brisket, and short rib. It is hamburger perfection.
The bun is perfect; it is a Martin potato bun. Soft but chewy and it captures the juices and flavor from the meat and onions.
The onions are perfectly caramelized. The cheese is nice and melted and cheesy.
The bacon is amazing. They make a round patty of super crisp bacon that ensures you get some crispy bacon in every bite of the burger. Genius.
The fries are cooked in beef tallow and remind of the great McDonald's fries of 20+ years ago.
Bamburger is new and just getting started, but they make a damn good burger. Probably the best smash burger that I've ever had.
I will be...
