Looking for a new Halal place ? Try this place. Was googling Biryani and this place came up with good reviews so ofcourse I had to try it. The place seems to be opened recently as the place didn’t have a proper LED sign rather a banner with some lights on top. The decor gave a mixed vibe with Chinese decor and basic seating options. The menu is huge which was confusing as there were Pakistani, Indian and Chinese dishes. Everything is self order and self pay from the app so basically no need for any service staff except for when you need something. I was pretty disappointed by the fact that the items listed on their website through which to order had no description at all and we had to flag the owner a few times to describe what the ingredients etc were. We ordered Chicken corn soup, hot and sour soup, crispy beef appetizer and Goat biryani. Soups were hot and pretty good (we had to add a lot of hot sauce etc to it). We were also given crackers as complimentary appetizers which was good. The restaurant wasn’t too busy so the food came out fairly quick. The crispy beef was a bit more saltier than we would have preferred but it was a decent appetizer. The bullet naan was soo yummy! Goat biryani was delicious and Pakistani style. The meat portions were very generous and you can see in one of the pictures that even after me and my husband ate, the rice was pretty much gone and we were left with meat pieces. We had ordered a spice level 4 but we found it to be not spicy at all so the owner was very kind to send it back to the kitchen to get more spices added and also got us some white rice on the side in case we wanted to mix it. Raita was very sweet for us so that was a no no for us. We will definitely be back to try out more items. The owner is very friendly however I did feel that he was giving much more attention to the non desi customers by going on their tables and asking if they needed anything or how the food was etc. We had to go get our to-go boxes ourselves too as no one attended our table. I get the self service thing however a good service interaction adds highly to the overall dining experience. Since we all are customers, equal attention will keep everyone happy and keep coming back. All in all, good to have a nice Halal restaurant opening up on the north side. I do wish management acts upon the few suggestions listed above : adding description to the menu items, service equality etc.

I dont usually leave any comment, but I felt like I should for this one I ordered a poached spicy fish slice, and I assuming that it will probably be close to the picture that the restaurant uploaded to yelp, but guess what, the fish is not a slices, they are in square, look like fry tofu when I open the box, the texture of fish is dry, wrong type of fish for this dish. yes, the price is competitive with the other place offering the same dish, but this is not cook with correct ingredient, so its a no no for me. I hate wasting food, but this ended up in the trash can white rice that comes with the dish is not ok as well, if the restaurant is offering Chinese food, use the right rice for the dish, basmati rice does not go well with Chinese food I will not suggest anyone to order "Chinese food" until they actually know cook it the dish with the correct ingredient. I did not try any of the halal dish, so maybe some day I'll try the halal dish, but will not order their Chinese food Left picture is what I got, and right is what they upload to yelp that made me think I will get something similar to that. ———————————————————————— This is the reply to the respond: So I ordered poach spicy fish slice is completely different than spicy fish? the dish I received is not a slice, what is the dish I receive? It sound like you as a restaurant owner blaming on customer when the restaurant offer a completely different dish than what the customer order. On your website clearly said 水煮魚片next to poach spicy fish slice, as a personal who had this dish in other places, I know what this dish is suppose to be like

From the moment I stepped into this unassuming gem, I knew I was in for something special. Our culinary journey began with the crispy beef appetizer, and I was utterly enchanted—each bite was a delightful explosion of flavors that set the tone for the evening. For the main course, we indulged in Mongolian beef, Buttered Chicken, and Chicken Karachi, and I can honestly say that each dish was a masterpiece. Every plate was not only delicious but also artfully presented, showcasing the care and creativity that went into their preparation. As if that wasn’t enough, we concluded our meal with the Gulab Jamun, a dessert that was nothing short of magical. Each bite was a beautiful, decadent experience that enveloped me in its rich flavors and syrupy sweetness, leaving me in sheer bliss. While the restaurant's exterior may be modest, don’t let that fool you; inside, you’ll find a treasure trove of gastronomic delights that promise to elevate your dining experience to new heights. I left with a longing to return and explore more of the menu, especially the intriguing drink selections. What truly made this experience unforgettable was the warmth and generosity of the owners. Their passion for food shines through in every dish, reflecting a deep commitment to their craft. It’s clear that this isn’t just about serving meals; it’s about nourishing the soul. I can’t wait to come back and savor more of their incredible offerings. This place is truly a culinary haven!

Pathetic customer service. I’ve been a customer here for so long and have always loved the fried noodles on the menu. Initially, I was very happy about the new management because they somehow managed to make the fried noodles even yummier than before. Today I was craving them again so ordered them for take out. As soon as I stepped into the restaurant, I was asked by the gentleman at the counter to step aside so he could help another customer check out even though that customer was still making his way from the table to the counter and I was already at the counter. I found that a bit weird but said nothing and waited. Next, I overheard the conversation at the counter - the customer asked what the service charge on the bill was, the man on the counter said it was a charge for them to dine in. even though, the other customer had only one lady accompanying him. He literally shook his head trying to make it make sense as he walked away and said okay? I said nothing in the moment but I agree with his reaction. In my opinion, a mandatory service charge should only apply to bigger parties while couples or less people should tip by choice but hey, I don’t make the rules. I guess, the ones who own it can make whatever rules they want. Moving forward, I was billed $10.99 for the noodles and $4 separately for the chicken as I asked for chicken fried noodles. When I got home and sat down to eat, the first few bites had no chicken in them which made me wonder and I moved the noodles around to find out that there was absolutely no chicken in them. Mind you, I have a toddler and a 5 month old at home so I had to make the trip and back with them. I called the restaurant to inquire about it. The same man who I had interacted with at the counter picked up and asked the kitchen staff about it. I could hear him speak to the kitchen - at first, the kitchen staff didn’t understand what he was asking about so I heard the whole back and forth. He then said to me, oh yeah, they forgot to put the chicken in the noodles. They made veggie noodles. … without saying or offering anything else. I asked him, can I be compensated for it the next time I come in? He said yeah. I asked him how? Because I kinda had a feeling. He said I’ll take off the $4 extra charge for chicken when you order the noodles. I told him what about the drive I made to the restaurant and back. Wouldn’t it be reasonable to get an order of chicken noodles on the house next time? He interrupted me saying I have more customers that I need to attend to. I said I also have a question about a charge on the bill and tried to ask about it. He was unclear on what I was asking and repeated a couple of times that he has more customers and something along the lines that when I come in, he can deal with it then. Basically, in a rush to hang up the phone.

Is this the type of service a restaurant offers when they have served the wrong food to a customer who especially, just came in to grab the food?

I am so disappointed in how this was dealt with. It was such a waste of time and effort. I was already having a tough day and craved some comfort food so decided to get this as they were so good last time. But the service was absolutely horrid. There are such limited halal food options in the neighborhood and I was so glad to have found...

Don't let this shoping front location fool you. The food is amazing. We typically go south for good Indian food. We got the grilled platter, beef and noodles, goat curry, and beef and cabbage Chinese bun (I forget the exact name). Flavor is spot on. It could have been a tad bit Spicer as we ordered level 8. But we were not disappointed. With my husband being from India we eat it 5 out of 7 meals. Also authentic generational cooking from all his Gujrat family. So, I know my Indian food very well.

  1. TheGrilled platter: shrimp was perfectly oked and not dry like many restaurants make them (no matter the ethnicity). The chicken breast was even juice. I couldn't stop telling my husband how good every bite was. There was enough meat for a family of 4 to split up.
  2. The curry, it was perfectly seasoned but could have used a bit more spice but I get their reluctance to make it too spicy. We really enjoyed it regardless. Many restaurants these days do not give you enough sauce and as well all know with a good curry you almost don't even need meat but a good Nan bread. Nan is extra by the way it comes with white rice. In this dish there was also an ample amount of food. I could have just split it with my husband and we would have been satisfied. But we did split this up between 4 as well.
  3. we didn't need the other two dishes but the noodles were out of this world. If you buy ingredients you know that sesame oil is not cheap. The aroma and flavor was prevalent in this dish. It didn't really look like it would be so flavorful but it was. The Chinese bun thing was good but would have been better as an appetizer then listed as a meal. Not that it was too pricy the entire plate was filled with them.
  4. We sampled the corn and chicken soup which was on par with everyone else but was too expensive for what you get. Here again should be listed as an appetizers and offered at a smaller quantity vs a huge bowl that will not fill you up. We also sampled the kheer or rice pudding the flavor was good but rice was a little harder than I have ever had with it being a pudding.
  5. The mago Lassi was possibly the best I have ever had. It is typically either a bit sour or so sweet that it too rich to finish on your own. I can tell you I will stop in just for this treate. We only got one as we really over ordered and took home leftovers. I really didn't want to share it. It was tart but sweet. The chef really knows how to cook and that is surprising because the size of their menu leads you to think it is your typically Buffy quality food that comes with such a big menu. We will be ordering for our Sunday family dinner next week for a small catering...
