On 09 25 2023 @ 11:35 am. My mother and I attempted to have an enjoyable lunch out. Shortly after being seated two women with one screaming toddler was seated in the booth directly behind my mother. The child threw a screening temper tantrum during the entire 45 minutes, with the exception of 2.5 nonconsecutive min. When confronted regarding her childs ill behavior, the indignant mother tried to make the excuse it was a baby and that it was teething. Even if the child was teathing, it could be concidered neglect on the part of the parent to fail to provide a comforting theething jell or other appropriate introvention to sooth/aleivate pain. However, this was not the cry of a tired child, a hungry child or a child in pain, this was a full blown screaming 120 db. temper tantrum of a child being ignored, compleat with the throwing of one's self against the back of the booth... According to proper social etiquette it is a respectful courtesy, if a child can not or will not stop crying, it is proper and polite for both you and your child to leave the restaurant. You'll inconvenience others who need to leave with you, but it's a small price to pay for a child who is distressed and is causing an unenjoyable event for a whole restaurant full of people who may be paying to have a day or night away from children.
The restaurant managment receives an "F" for failure to exercise their leagle right and obligation to request the disruptive parties to leave, even if the disruptive party is an infant, toddler, child...
Read moreI can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. It's one of my favorite Chinese buffets in north central Ohio.
It's one of my favorites because, if you arrive during peak hours the buffet is flawlessly stocked with fresh, hot food. There's a good variety catering to American pallettes (don't expect Szechuan spicy here.) They serve everything from kid-friendly mac and cheese to Chinese buffet staples like broccoli chicken and General Tso's.
My personal preferences are the coconut chicken, the black pepper chicken, and the lo mein. There are also pork and beef dishes available, which are passable.
The Mongolian grill is a hot, flavorful option. Choose your own fresh vegetables, starch, meat, and sauce. The folks they've had at the grill have always cooked the ingredients in the correct order, and have always handed me a piping hot plate. If the end result doesn't taste good, it's your fault. 😀
Their egg rolls are 3" of deep-fried sadness, but their spring rolls are OK. Vegetarian options, including sushi, are available.
Their egg drop and hot and sour soups are OK, but not special, but isn't that the normal for Chinese buffets?
Again, for me, what is abnormal to distinguish this buffet is its freshness. They have a good working crew, and...
Read moreGreat food. Nearly everything was spot on. I really liked the variety of chicken dishes. There's sushi and the Mongolian Hibitchi grill, plenty of the typical Chinese buffet items to chose from. They also have wings, mac & cheese and pizza for more American pallettes and plenty of fruits and desserts to choose from as well. The only downside was the night I was there, it was 6pm on Wednesday night and they never put out more wonton soup (there was none at all) or salmon (only 2 pieces left.) And the pot stickers were a little crispy, still tasty, but could've come out of the pan a little sooner.
Right now during the Covid they're providing large disposable plastic gloves so that we're able to serve ourselves. I was recently at a buffet in Columbus where they are dishing up the servings and its not nearly as enjoyable. With the foam plates they're doing what they can to remain open and the food is well worth the trip. I had water and my bill was $11.24 which isn't bad at all for any buffet. Would...
