Update: it was two stars but I decided to eat the fries since they were in a bag and not touched by insects. It taste like they used the whole damn bag of salt on one order of fries. Couldn’t eat them either!!
Original: Never again! Their food is always really good, but i highly suggest you walk in and pick it up. Tonight my pizza was delivered and supposedly the driver called me. With no answer, he leaves my food outside of my house on the ground (mind you there is a CHAIR on the front porch). After an hour passed I’m thinking damn no call where is my pizza!!?! I call the restaurant and after 5 minutes in hold there someone tells me my food was left there. I’m like what do you mean it was left? I asked him “ Are you saying my food is outside right now?” He says yes, the food is there it’s been an hour”. I’m like I KNOW it’s been an hour….. why didn’t he call? Dude on the phone says he did call.
Well, guess what, there’s no missed calls in my call log and not one voicemail. If you called, wouldn’t you leave a voicemail? If he actually called only once and something happened with the service, I can understand. But logically when you don’t get an answer, you would call a second time right? Or leave a voicemail? I find it hard to believe that he called me twice and there’s no record of the call both times.
Anyways, that is not the point, the point is my food was sitting outside on the ground for 30 minutes so when I picked up my pizza, a single water bug (roaches) crawled out so my $30 down the drain.
Why the F@$& Would you put somebody’s food on the ground when there is a chair next to the door on the front porch?! Delivery guy should be fired.
And unfortunately, there’s no way to post reviews anonymously so I guess I just can’t eat here anymore. They were always really good but this treatment was unacceptable. I just got out of the hospital. There is zero food in my house. They are one of the last things open. I waited an hour and now I still have no food and...

I originally was just looking for a pizza. What I found was an amazing variety of delicious food options, in addition to pizza!
It's rare to find a place that has so many obvious ways that show how much they care about the quality of their food.
For example:
Their birria grilled cheese has the cheese caramelized and is clearly served on house made bread. The meat is soft and perfectly cooked and the consomme is extremely flavorful!
Their chicken/bacon sandwich is a similar success. Once again served in house made bread. The chicken is juicy and the layers of flavor between marinades and sauce fantastic!
I had to try their mesquite roast chicken. It was one of the most succulent and flavorful I've ever eaten! Hearing the juices as you cut into it is a divine experience.
I also tried pizza with salsa verde... I'm a huge fan of uniquely flavored pizza. I love salsa verde. The beautiful blend of flavors between the salsa, chicken, onions, cheese and cilantro was exactly what I hoped to experience!
I am guilty of normally considering pizza places to be "pizza only." This pizza place is so much more than that. I hope they have all the success they deserve and can always maintain this level of excellence!
I'm excited to keep trying anything new they put on the menu. They...
Read moreSo, I stopped in here randomly. There's a fine Dining restaurant next door to this place, which also caters to pizza and Italian cuisine, but I find that the smaller, more independent places tend to offer the best tasting "comfort food."
I was shocked at how delicious my meal was!!! I was expecting the food to be categorically good...but this was melt-in-my-mouth good.
Tony's Pizza City is under new ownership for the past two years (this is being posted in May of 2024, for future reference). I was lucky enough to meet the owner during my visit, and learned that he previously worked at higher-end catering establishments as a chef. I'm certain that is why the Brisket practically melted in my mouth, and the sauce was so full of flavor. I often state that the messier a sandwich is, the better it tastes; this was a very messy sandwich, and I was stuffed after the first half. The problem was that it tasted so good I just kept on eating.
I highly recommend checking this place out, and I believe that they offer a Brisket pizza...in case your hosting a get-together, game-night, or just want an easy "pizza...
