Worst experience at a restaurant evet!!! Don't go to Addi's restaurant in Springfield. We ordered our food and all was good so far. Halfway through Gabriel (the 2 year old) the new up all over the floor. He isn't sick mind you. The waiters came right over and started helping clean things up. I headed to the bathroom to clean up Gabriel. As I was cleaning up Gabriel my dad brought Wyatt (my 4 year old ) to the bathroom to go potty. The two older boys were still at the table. We still had food we were eating left and some we wanted to take home. When I got back to the door of the restaurant my dad and all the boys were out waiting. I was told that they threw away our food we wanted to take home. I said to my dad, "why?" He explained, "the waiter said the food had throw up on it."I fact it did not. We went to talk to the owner of the resuraunt. She came out and said, "she was upset because her employees were left to clean up the throw up." She also told us we were not welcome back. I explained, that I was in the bathroom cleaning up my 2 year old and the waiters rushed to over to help and insisted it was ok. I had intentions to clean things up but my child needed to be cleaned up first. Plus you don't throw away food when people are at the table without knowing they are done. The owner of Addi's in Springfield was rude to me and my father because my child threw up. She was pissed that her employees helped us clean it up. And they threw our food away that we wanted to take home. Ontop of it she said we were not welcome back. This lady has no compassion for kids. No patience, no kindness, nothing. Please share this. Especially if you have kids. Do not go to Addi's dinner in Springfield. We did get our money back only after the owner was extreamly rude. How can you be like that to a mother and her child who just threw up? And throw away the food when two of the kids are still at the table. The waiters were kind until the owner got involved. Then his tune changed. The waiter even cursed at my dad. The owner must be such a tyrant that the employees are afraid of her. They change from being nice to a mother and child to backing her up in seconds. Please share so other parents and children don't get...

Well, I have been going to Addies for a very long time. I have a special place in my heart for this little diner. Addie’s is one of my guilty pleasure meal spots. This morning I called in my typical pick up order. The Frenchie with Bacon, and the corn beef hash breakfast. Last week I called in this same order and my hash browns were missing. I chalked it up to a slip up and let it go. Well, this week they forgot my bacon. With two little ones bummed out about their missing bacon, I called in. I figured this would be such an easy fix. I spoke first with a gentlemen who passed me off to ADDIE herself. I was confident this would be rectified. I am leaving this review for this very interaction. I explained what had happened and she was absolutely disgusting. To work in customer service you have to own the failures of your staff from time to time. That is leadership. This was nothing of the sort. I wasn’t upset or even rude on the phone. I simply asked if we could be put on a list for our bacon and hash browns for our next visit (I paid for it). Because the man who took our order down didn’t write bacon on the sheet after specifically what meat we would like with our meal, there was nothing she was willing to do. After her rude remarks I let her know she was about to lose a very loyal and long time customer. Her response was, “ok.”

All in all, I am appalled to have been treated that way from the OWNER of an establishment. I have supported this place for so long, referred countless people to, and have loved it so much. Sad to say I will never return.

This is my first food review I have ever written. That should...

There will be a happy ending, I promise. After visiting dozens of times over the past 10 years I will not be going back. With half the tables empty they would not seat my party of three. The hostess claimed there was one party of four ahead of us, who were not even there. We were told we had to wait until they arrived and the hostess refused to even give an estimate on the wait time. I suggested they seat us and when the other party arrived there would still be tons of room for them since there were five or six empty tables. The hostess was rude and continued saying we could not be seated before the other party arrived, despite the numerous empty tables?!? This made absolutely no sense and no logical reason was given. The happy ending is we went to a nearby restaurant for the first time called the Pump House and got better food at a similar price without any nonsense or rudeness. The staff was so much friendlier and professional, along with excellent food, I highly recommend Pump House as a much better alternative and will be going there...

This place might be small, but that is definitely NOT how the food is!! First let me say that the atmosphere and the staff were incredible, I wish more restaurants had service like they do. Now down to the food. My 10 year old son and I (tried) to split there GIANT pancake, which we added strawberries and whipped cream to, and my husband ordered their Allan burger with potato skins. Both were fantastic! However, if you plan on finishing the giant pancake - don't, unless you are a bottomless teenager. No pictures truly do this pancake justice. It is MASSIVE! (The picture shows the pancake in front of my son and I, and my husband took the picture (which he said it was very hard to get it into frame sitting just 2 feet away). We also had a couple drinks, an oreo milkshake that we all loved and a huge glass of Dr Pepper. This place is PHENOMENAL! We definitely have a new favorite breakfast/lunch place.

Patience paid off today. We have been trying to get into this diner for awhile but timing has never worked out til today. It's tiny but mighty. Great menu with lots of options. Looking forward to coming back. The homemade biscuits were delightful. Normally if you said grape jelly, I'm out but somehow this apple/grape blend hit the spot for me, I loved it. Gravy was tasty. Sometimes when you get a scramble, you're searching for the meat... not the case here. GIANT chunks of ham were aplenty! I really enjoyed my meal. Our server was outstanding and the team never let our coffee cups go empty. Seeing the owner buzzing around gives you that small biz and service matters feel. I can only wonder looking around at the place staying packed, how much more busy it would be if the place was bigger?! If you haven't been, check this place out... be patient if they are busy, it's worth the wait! 🙂

This was the first time eating at Addi's. I was curious about thier giant pancake and just wanted to see if thier food was anything special. We had about a half hour wait, which was to be expected, getting there at 10:00 on a Saturday. The place is small, with booths and tables crowded together. Being a rather large person, it wasn't very comfortable squizing into a booth. We were waited on quickly and placed our orders. The food arived without too much of a wait and we dug in. The giant pancake stole the show, and most of the table. It was on the thicker side but was tender and had a nice flavor. The chicken fried steak was okay but nothing special. Gravy is good, though, and goes nicely on a tender biscuit. You get a lot of hashbrowns and they were good. Coffee's good too. If you're not afraid of tight spaces, I recomend trying Addi's out. You will leave stuffed with some to spare.
