Brewski's Pub — Restaurant in Springfield

Came in for taco Tuesday. Simple yet great tasting loaded tacos and at $1 each it's hard to complain. The smothered sancho was also delicious but a challenge to eat only given a plastic fork. Tried my daughter's chili and as someone who loves homemade chili this one was rather disappointing. Didn't taste chili spice at all & more like tomato. Service itself started off great. Server greeted us & took our drink order rather quickly. Different server brought our drinks & took our food order. Food came out relatively fast. Another family came in & sat behind us. After not being greeted a prolonged period of time they got up & left. At the same time I was getting frustrated bc we were sitting with empty cups for just as long. I noticed the group at the table in front of us sat with empty cups our entire time. I finally took our cups to the bar for refills. We were there early and it didn't seem overly busy. This would be a great place for culinary students to work. Hone skills. With specialty pizzas burgers fries other cool appetizers especially late night ... this place is a very cool hang out. Especially with the darts juke box gaming! If they had a pool table they'd be set! Lolol! My friends love hanging out here! The bartenders are cool people! It's just a cool hang vibe! Being able to get food late would be cool beans Good bar food! Especially in Springfield! Parking is cool. If they get those student chefs from LLCC they could probaly get vegetarian offerings... vegan not so much but maybe lolol. Especially if they can set it up for school credit. First the goods, and there are lots of them. The salad I had there was the best I’ve probably ever had period. Beer was cold, nice waitress, great screens and super clean. My one complaint, and it’s a big one, is that it’s incredibly loud. The jukebox volume is ridiculous. It’s nightclub loud but it’s a sports bar. We didn’t have our grandkids with us but you are eating and music filled with swear words come on at ear splitting volume. On a Sunday evening. I was talking with my friends about the place and every one of them said LOUD. Please please lose the jukebox or turn it down. What a great business.
