I was looking for some Spanish food. I live in Ludlow and I wanted something close by also it was a little bit after seven and the restaurant that I normally go to was closed so I was driving and found this place on Main Street in Indian Orchard, my initial thought was it looks like a Chinese restaurant from the outside until I read the sign. The parking sucks so I ended up having a park across the street went inside and the place was dingy. There was no menu there. I asked if they had a printed menu. They had no printed menu. There was no pricing. I ended up ordering some yellow rice with beans and some penil. I asked if she had any other rice the rice look like it was the last or the end of whatever she had in the pan. It looked crunchy and definitely has been sitting there for a while. She said no I asked her or she offered me new beans because the ones that were sitting out definitely were looking like a mush and not like beans She then the pork shoulder was new hadn’t really been cut into. However it looked didn’t look so hot but again I didn’t wanna judge a book by its cover so I had gotten just a small plate of rice and beans with meat and then I got just a side of meat For another family member it came to $23 which I thought was outrageous for one plate of food and then a side of me it was $23 and again she had no prices listed so I didn’t know what I was really paying for and I was disappointed in the price since the food sucked. Also, I asked her for pork shoulder in English and she’s like it’s not pork shoulder it’sPenil. She wasn’t very friendly. There was a gentleman sitting at one of the tables and he started talking to me and was really nice and said to come again that was the highlight of my evening. I won’t be going back there the Puerto Rican bakery on Armory Street is 1000 times better. They would’ve never given me rice like that or beans and I know they put out more food or whatever however, if your food isn’t up to par then maybe they should’ve said that they were closed and not serve the food at all. I was disappointed to say the least and she said she had been there for about five months and they still don’t have a printed menu I mean come on that’s one of the first things you need so again really disappointed won’t be going there. Don’t...
Read moreThis was the most unwelcoming take out experience I’ve ever had. This place has no menu (or prices, conveniently) listed anywhere inside, no QR code for a digital one, all the food was covered with metal covers…. & we were asked what we wanted to order. Uh well, what are the options? Since we were familiar with what food they probably had, we ordered a plate of rice and pork, side of beans and 2 potato balls. We were charged $23 for the plate, $7 for the small side of beans and $3 each for potato ball. When the total was a staggering $40, we asked for a receipt and THEN they had to punch more info into the computer to spit out a receipt that said “Custom Item”. See photos. After we left, feeling duped, I looked up how much these items would be if we had ordered online… rice and pork plate was $14 and side of beans wasn’t an option online so I couldn’t compare the price. Awful way to do business in my opinion. Would...
Read moreI should’ve came here to read the reviews before I ordered our Uber eats last night. This right here at this rate, they need some new cooks and better service. Or just close it down. First and foremost, the telephone number is not working. After I got my order last night and I checked my order, I noticed that One of my items (the masa was still raw from my alcapurria) this food is definitely not giving authenticity. It’s a disgrace to the Spanish culture. Never again. Way over priced for nada. 👎🏽 makes me wanna make the whole dish all over again at home and bring it to them to let them know what the real flavors be like. It was a waste of money and food because honestly after that yesterday I wasn’t even in the mood for it. - to each it’s own taste buds but this nothing worth no more...
