As you can see from my review below I love this place! But today that changed. I called my order for 5pm ahead of time at 2:30 because sometimes they run out of cabbage. Which they did by the time I called (understandable, not the issue). I asked what other sides they have and the girl said rice and peas. So that’s what I took. I let my friend know at 3:30 that they didn’t have cabbage for our order and she asked about Mac and cheese. So I said let me call and ask. I asked if they have Mac and cheese and the girl said yes so I asked if I could swap out my side. She said she would have to charge me for an additional side because they already bagged up my order when I called. I was shocked! I said 1) I don’t want to pay for an extra side because no one told me about the Mac and cheese the first time I called and 2) why would you bag up my order almost 3 hours before I pick it up? I was not trying to be difficult but I was genuinely surprised. She said she didn’t know, they decided to bag it early and the manager wasn’t there for me to speak with so I left my info asking for the manager to call me. About 10 mins later the SAME girl called me and said that they would make my food fresh and they were out of mac and cheese lol I did not trust that the food would be bagged fresh especially since the manager didn’t call me (poor customer service having the worker at the front call me back if he indeed was told about the situation) so I apologized and let them know I would not be picking up my order. This is just a fair warning you may not get fresh food when you call ahead! Very disappointing and I’d love to hear from the manager as I am not even sure he/she is aware this happened!

When I tell you this food is SOOOO flavorful and cooked to perfection. Hands down the best Jamaican you can get around here. I have had the jerk chicken, stew chicken, and curry chicken- all phenomenal. The curry and jerk chicken have a kick but nothing overwhelming and nothing that isn’t worth the flavor!! The jerk sauce is bomb too. Now let’s get into the cabbage. I am by no means a cabbage lover, normally I avoid cabbage in all ways that it is prepared. But their side of cooked cabbage is devine!! I order it for my side every time and am disappointed if they run out (only happened once). The restaurant itself is more of a grab and go vibe so I wouldn’t necessarily go and sit down for a meal. Customer service is terrible, my wife ordered oxtails and plantains red beans and rice and mac n cheese First off I gave my son mac n cheese he spit it it out and he love s mac n cheese so I tried it, it tastes old with no flavor there was no love put into any of the dishes. The oxtails was also dry it looked like it was maid like you would chilli there's was Barry gravy over them to keep the meet tender and juicy. I ordered curry chicken rice and cabbage with plantains again plantains was dry tastes rubbery the curry chicken was cheaply purchased due to the fact there was a lot of bones thru out the whole dish uit should of been curry bone instead of chicken. My dish had maybe 2 carrots in it and some small and I do mean small baby potatoes like they put the potatoes in the dish first I stead of last the way you should do it. To be honest it seemed like they took old food from a catering that was already used to prepare people orders. For this place to have dam near 5 stars I didnt not see it. Maybe my expectations were to high, and if so that's my fault.

Now that was the meal now the establishment was basic at most the most appealing was the mural on the wall that said yaad food people looked terrible waiting on food there was no positive vibes in side waiting on food nothing that made you comfortable if your going to be waiting long time for food.food just looked microwaved well I think that is enough for now. I might re try again but for now I'll make it my self it seems like the only way to make food taste good...

Prior to placing my order I informed my server that we had a seed & nut allergy in our party. The server told me that they do not use seeds or nuts. I called the Chicopee location after I purchased the food because I thought I could taste coconut in the rice. They confirmed that they use coconut. I called the Indian Orchard location where I purchased the food and explained to them that according to their other location they use coconut. I asked for a refund on one of the dishes they said they will not refund but offered to replace the food. If there wasn't an allergy concern I wouldn't mind doing this except I do not trust the server to confirm that anything we order will be seed and nut free. The food was good and if you have no allergies it's a good spot. But beware anyone that needs to pay attention to food allergies. I understand mistakes can happen but not when it comes to a...
