Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Springfield

This usually our favorite Jimmy John's but tonight was the exception. I had the tuna fish sub, my wife had the veggie sub, we had a bag of chips, and drinks. What could go wrong? The food was ok but the regular size subs seemed to have shrunk. The music in the shop was so loud, and the constant banging of bread baking pans -- totally unnecessary -- made it even louder, so we were unable to carry on a conversation at our table. Finally, the AC was turned up so high that the shop was cold. We ate quickly and left. It wasn't a pleasant dining experience.

Had the Hunter's Club, chips, and a drink. The sub was excellent with lots of roast beef, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and mayo.

9/18/2023: Went for lunch. Had the regular Big John and a drink. My wife had the regular veggie and a drink. We added the potato salad and the pesto bow tie pasta salad, both new to us. They were both delicious and added to our enjoyment of the meal.

7/27/2024: Went for dinner. I had the regular tuna sub and a drink. My wife had the veggie wrap in a large spinach-flavored tortilla and a drink. Mu sub was delicious, but Laura said hers was far better than she anticipated, so much so that she ate the whole wrap rather than take half of it home. A+++ JJ!

8/3/2024: Came back for dinner. Had the turkey sub, my wife had the veggie wrap and humus with pita chips. The food was fine, but the music was playing at a deafening level. Very...

We can't thank today's lunch staff, enough, at this Jimmy John's location for coming in clutch for us today with a last minute order! We had some colleagues attending an offsite meeting on the other side of town from where our offices are located. We don't typically order business meals from food establishments out on the west side because of the distance from our office being out of standard delivery range. However, the organization hosting the meeting asked if we could provide lunch, and we ordered from a different west-side establishment several days in advance of the meeting. When they were well over an hour late with the delivery, very rude, and unhelpful in providing any explanation for the delay or information regarding when we could expect it to finally show up; we found this JJ location close by the meeting site, called them up and asked if they could whip up nearly 2 dozen sandwiches quickly. They were so helpful on such short notice, and definitely lived up to the freaky fast tagline! By the time the person I spoke to on the phone put the order in their system and processed our payment, the other staff members had the order nearly complete. We've never ordered from this Jimmy John's location before, as there's a location much closer to our offices, but if/when we ever need to order lunch for a meeting on the west side of Springfield, we will definitely use this location again! today i ordered online at 11:30am with a scheduled curbside pickup time of 12:30pm, so that i could meet my daughter for lunch at 12:45pm...i arrived and checked-in for my order, waited a few minutes then called...a recording came on saying "this number is not taking calls right now"...so i waited a few more minutes, nothing...so i parked and went inside...there were about 3 ppl in line and a couple more waiting for their food...i waited for the cashier to ask to take my order and let him know that i was waiting for a curbside delivery order for about 5 minutes now...one of the guys making the sandwiches hollered out that it would be a few minutes because they were busy...i asked if the point of online ordering was so that the food would be ready when the customer arrived, he agreed and apologized...so instead of them starting my order, they proceeded to help everyone else in the restaurant while i waited...i was the last to get my order...it was 12:42pm by the time i received my order, with a "sorry", no offer of a discount, a free drink, a cookie, nothing...so much for online ordering and curbside pickup, huh?...i guess you get better service going inside...unfortunately, it will be a long while before...
