China wok — Restaurant in Springfield

I hadn't been here for 6 years, and the food and service has really gone downhill. I got Egg Drop Soup which was very greasy and bland. The pork fried rice was dried out and tasted burned. I ordered sesame chicken and it wasn't until right before I paid that I discovered they had it on their lunch menu and I could have gotten it much cheaper. In the past, the owner would have pointed it out and given me a choice. I loved the Sesame Chicken. It was very good, sweet like I like it, and had lots of toasted sesame seeds. They also used to have baskets of condiments where we could grab what we needed, however they were not available this time, and I would have liked some hot mustard for my meal, but I received soy sauce and duck sauce instead. I was accustomed to friendly staff from when I used to eat there. This time, there was one other customer in the restaurant, and he left 5 minutes after I arrived. The person who took my order never smiled or said anything to me until my order was ready and she told me what I owed. WHOEVER SAYS THEIR QUALITY HAS DECLINED ARE LYING OR THEY ARE CONFUSED.

This is a good family with constant quality and portions. They care about their customers!

I’ve had Chinese food all over the US because it’s my favorite and this restaurant is hands down the best I’ve ever had

No other restaurant in the Springfield area even comes close to the quality of food or warmth of service...

Last minute dinner take out decision, as we were following our route on the highway. Turned out to be 100% worthy detour. Gentleman over the phone taking my order sounded friendly, professional and on point. The food was ready when we got there in 10-15 mins.
