Who I assume was the manager (white woman in her 40s holding a child) was absolutely rude. As I went to pay for my breakfast the card reader told me to remove my card a little too fast. I tried again, card chip error. I explained I was sorry, as Iāve been receiving emails from my bank (Cefcu) regarding issues with the chip and complications of the bank in general the last few weeks. The worker thatās usually in there (sweet black lady with glasses probably 60s) said she would cover me. The white lady waved her hand back and forth and made a nasty face as a gesture of no. We tried my card a few more times and unfortunately this time it wouldnāt go through and she said āyeah you need a new cardā in a snobby response. It made me feel humiliated and uncomfortable at the very least.. luckily no one was in there to witness it or I would have felt worse. I was already thinking of ways of repaying them, coming in later today with money to cover the breakfast had she been so nice wanting to cover it for me and a generous tip as a thank you, but with how rude the manager was I wonāt be returning.. and if I do, I donāt think Iāll be very nice this time. I do understand it was not her fault, nor did they need to cover anything for me, but she didnāt have to be rude as I simply just haven't receive my new card in the mail yet. Used to be my favorite place, now it will be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in to buy some donuts this morning at 8:20 AM, and I walked into a pretty unsanitary situation. The woman waiting on me, took someone elseās trash and threw it in the trashcan. Then she went over to the sink to āwash her handsā, where she simply put soap in her hands, rubbed them for maybe three seconds, then turned the sink off with her bare hands (recontaminating them completely, even though the way she washed her hands probably didnāt get any germs off anyway.) Then, she proceeded to go over to grab a plastic glove, and instead of grabbing the glove by the base, she grabbed the glove by the fingers of the glove (contaminating the glove). Then she used the glove to grab the donut. Just gross.
This is how illnesses and germs are spread. Please train your employees on how to wash their hands properly in the workplace, and how to apply gloves properly.
Edited to confirm that this was the Fair Hills store, as Google will not give me the option to respond to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere are lots of options for donuts in Springfield including four close to my home. I'm particularly fond of Mel-O-Cream oreo donuts and varieties filled with Bavarian cream. But what especially stands out with this location are the counter staff. They are so welcoming, so pleasant, smiling, and friendly that I enjoy coming here more than the other donut shops. Obviously, others agree with me because the store sells out quickly. I come before 10:00am and try to get here before 9:00am for the...
